iTalkWhoa the Social Media Platform
Sep 1st
iTalkWhoa emerged early this year and was launched by TM to show their interest in social media combining a few online social media mediums at one single platform. Advertisements have been placed as well as promotions along with their existing brand iTalk which features cheap call rates to countries oversea.
So yea, here’s a short recap of the platform itself.

First of all, Emails are the basics for one to exist in the online world. iTalkWhoa allows all its registrant to actually combine a few emails together at one place and organize their emails there.

With that being said, you can also set PushMail Rules and get specific emails at your mobile phone so you can keep track of some specific emails and want to get updated as soon as possible.

Twitter was also included in the platform of course as it’s one of the rising social media tools in recent years and more and more Malaysians are using Twitter already. You can check the status updates as well as update your twitter account through iTalkWhoa.

Integrating iTalkWhoa with iTalk itself allows you to use the iTalk credits to send sms or make calls to your loved ones be it locally or internationally. It is meant for your convenience from your computer with just a few clicks.

There’s actually an iTalkWhoa promo rates that will be up till end of this year with cheap call rates to a few oversea countries. Check it out below!

Last but not least, how to get the iTalk credits to use on iTalkWhoa portal? Here’re some online payment method to get your hands on them. I guess that’s what TM is emphasizing then, to do everything online on a single platform itself.

iTalkWhoa Pushmail Feature
Aug 24th

It’s been quite some time since i last talk about iTalkWhoa already and this time round, i’m going to share something new from them. If you are using iTalkWhoa for your email purposes, i’m sure you’ll know that you can actually put a few different email accounts at the portal be it Ymail, Gmail or Hotmail and etc.
Now that the Pushmail feature is available on iTalkWhoa. It enables you to forward selected new email to your mobile device automatically base on PushMail Rules which you can set yourself.

Say for example you want to get notifications on new emails containing certain keywords such as Manchester United, then you can set a PushMail rule for that purpose.

This actually helps if all the below conditions applies to you :
- You need to keep track of very Specific emails be it business/personal reasons
- You can’t be in front of the computer all the time
- You don’t want to spend money on data plan for your mobile device
It might be a cheaper solution for you and it would be a good choice to use this Pushmail feature on iTalkWhoa portal.
*Of course, if you have LOADS of emails to follow up and keep track, then i suggest you go get a data plan for your mobile. =D

*Sms charges applies for PushMail feature on iTalkWhoa

Being told about this whole new thing by TM that features a platform combining multiple social tools/softwares/programs together, it actually reminds me of some certain project that surfaced not long ago.

The next thing i did was signing up this new service and explore about it. Filled with curiosity, i was delighted that there’s an amount of RM5 for free that was accredited into my account after i successfully registered myself.

Made my way to the main page after logging on into the platform and started looking around for the buttons and toolbars exploring the different functions.

Well, presented in front of me was a pretty straight forward user interface with the few main tabs on the side with a toolbar on top filled with buttons. Emails, Contacts, Calendar and Notes, Twitter and SMS were on the side
and you know what?

The very first thing i did was clicking on the Twitter tab and almost immediately, the right side of the screen shows the Twitter page and for a second i was wondering where and how to add my Twitter account till i found this credential button.
Not too bad as it was pretty responsive and loads a bit smoother compared to some certain project i’ve mentioned above which makes me wonder is it related to this.

Anyway, I went on and updated my Twitter status announcing to the whole world that this month is a good month and the process of updates was fast where i managed to trace my status straight away on twitter.com!

The next thing i played around with was the SMS function on iTalkWhoa. Spent quite some time while adding the number and soon i somehow managed to add in my own number to try out the SMS feature.

am happy to say that i’m pretty satisfy with the speed of sending out the SMS, I received the SMS on my phone the next few seconds that is!

Apart from both Twitter and SMS, i have yet to try the other features and up till now, i’m still quite okay with the whole idea of collaborating multiple social media tools together in a same platform.
Though it’s not something new, but i still love the idea of sending SMS through my computer to my friend/family and seeing that i SMS a lot with my girl, i would probably frequent this feature a lot.
Till then, do head to iTalkWhoa.com and try out the newly built platform which contains multiple social media features for you to Connect and Collaborate with your friends and family. After all, its free and you’ll get RM5 upon registration, so no harm trying right?
At the end of the day, i can’t say and judge on behalf of you, it’s all up to you whether this whole thing appears to be WHOA or not. Till then!! Cheers =)
Whoa? Yes? No?
ShareEveryone Connects at Bukit Bintang!
Nov 24th
If you’re a fellow Malaysian and you’re not being in your own world all by yourself living in some deserted location where nobody knows, i’m pretty sure you’ve been hearing a specific song with the song title “Through My Windows” where it was played almost everywhere every now and then since last month.

Most of you might already know about it, it’s a whole big campaign by TM with the main objective of connecting people, basically everyone!
In support of our current Prime Minister’s vision, 1Malaysia perhaps.

Anyway, last Saturday was the big day. The day all the connections surfaced where people gathered in front of Sungei Wang at Bukit Bintang. With the large stage all set up there along with a gigantic screen for the public with local celebrities act as well as the big main thing, to give a chance for local indie bands to shine on stage!

The main event starts from 3pm and ends at 8pm where i reached like around 5pm. Like in the middle of the whole big thing. It was insane i tell you, upon reaching the place, i saw the large amount of crowds there immediately.

Would actually think of some illegal gathering or whatsoever if i didn’t know about the event before reaching the place because the people there were so hyped up!! They were under the sky with raindrops coming down and all they did was just having fun!

Not ordinary fun but Fun FUN!! I see people dancing, jumping around with a big smile on their face being all jolly happy.

Then i see people singing out their hearts ignoring the others around them, with their hand gestures to further express themselves!!

It’s like, how often do you see a ball such big in the air? With that much of people on a street that is normally filled with cars honking at each other bumper to bumper.

All of a sudden, the intensity that that area usually have, with all the invisible pressure on people living their lives in the city seems to go off just like that. With all the laughter and joy despite the heavy rain, the youths in KL are having fun in their own way and its an interesting scene to be in.

Of course, thanks to some of the local celebrities that were there that day, they were the reason most of the youths came out from their homes to connect with each other at Bukit Bintang.

and Gosh, now only i know that local celebrities actually have quite a lot of hardcore fans around following after them, seeking for signature and a picture together. Who says that the youths in our country are so obsessed of western culture? As far as i know, I was seeing the other way round!

Furthermore, you don’t want to mess with these indie bands. Some of the bands have lots of true loyal fans where i heard screaming and cheering when some certain band went up on stage to perform. They have potential to shine.

Just look at the people present there. Amazing!

It was an interesting event for me at the end of the day. I would say that TM did quite a good job in connecting the youths together throughout this whole campaign altogether providing a specific outlet for them to express themselves which is through singing.

She converses in Tamil and he talks in Malay where I might be speaking Chinese right here, but with the international language Music, Everyone is Connected just like that.

Karaoke one day okay?
