You know, i was one of the many 80s babies who enjoyed celebrating my Chinese New Year time watching Kung Fu movies by Jet Li in the years when i was still in primary school.

THAT was when i was introduced to this Martial Arts master of China Mr Wong Fei Hung 黄飞鸿. Before i got to know people like Yang Guo 杨过 who knows more awesome superpower/KungFu, Wong Fei Hung 黄飞鸿was my hero.

Then again, Yesterday, i came across this very tweet that got my attention with the line “Wong Fei Hung Adalah Seorang Muslim”.

You will definitely laugh when you read what was written in the link attached with the tweet.

Wong Fei Hung adalah seorang Ulama, Ahli Pengobatan, dan Ahli Beladiri legendaris yang namanya ditetapkan sebagai Pahlawan Nasional China oleh pemerintah China. Namun Pemerintah China sering berupaya mengaburkan jatidiri Wong Fei Hung sebagai seorang muslim demi menjaga supremasi kekuasaan Komunis di China.

Wong Fei-Hung dilahirkan pada tahun 1847 di Kwantung (Guandong) dari keluarga muslim yang taat. Nama Fei pada Wong Fei Hung merupakan dialek Canton untuk menyebut nama Arab, Fais. Sementara Nama Hung juga merupakan dialek Kanton untuk menyebut nama Arab, Hussein. Jadi, bila di-bahasa-arab-kan, namanya ialah Faisal Hussein Wong.

I do not know why did the original author chooses to write about Wong Fei Hung 黄飞鸿 and not other people and base on what that he say that the mentioned person is a Muslim, i do not know as well.

But one thing i know, this person must be some extreme believer of Islam who most probably will go to the extend of doing such things.

No i do not condemn Islam in any way here. Just that it’s funny to know about such stuffs by some extreme believers of a specific religion. Same goes to Christianity as well!

Okay perhaps he/she is just too free like me who decided to post this out during lunch break in between office hours randomly just for no specific reason LOL.

Sudah banyak orang yang tahu bahwa tokoh bahari legendaris asal Cina, Sam Poo Kong alias Muhammad Cheng Ho adalah seorang Muslim. Namun nampaknya masih banyak yang belum tahu bahwa masih banyak tokoh China legendaris yang ternyata beragama Islam. Dua di antaranya ialah Wong Fei Hung dan Judge Bao.

Selama ini kita hanya mengenal Wong Fei Hung sebagai jagoan Kung fu dalam film Once Upon A Time in China. Dalam film itu, karakter Wong Fei Hung diperankan oleh aktor terkenal Hong Kong, Jet Li. Namun siapakah sebenarnya Wong Fei Hung?

Wong Fei Hung adalah seorang Ulama, Ahli Pengobatan, dan Ahli Beladiri legendaris yang namanya ditetapkan sebagai Pahlawan Nasional China oleh pemerintah China. Ketinggian ilmu beladiri Wong Kay-Ying membuatnya dikenal sebagai salah satu dari Sepuluh Macan Kwantung. Posisi Macan Kwantung ini di kemudian hari diwariskannya kepada Wong Fei Hung.

Kombinasi antara pengetahuan ilmu pengobatan tradisional dan teknik beladiri serta ditunjang oleh keluhuran budi pekerti sebagai Muslim membuat keluarga Wong sering turun tangan membantu orang-orang lemah dan tertindas pada masa itu. Karena itulah masyarakat Kwantung sangat menghormati dan mengidolakan Keluarga Wong.

Pasien klinik keluarga Wong yang meminta bantuan pengobatan umumnya berasal dari kalangan miskin yang tidak mampu membayar biaya pengobatan. Walau begitu, Keluarga Wong tetap membantu setiap pasien yang datang dengan sungguh-sungguh. Keluarga Wong tidak pernah pandang bulu dalam membantu, tanpa memedulikan suku, ras, agama, semua dibantu tanpa pamrih.

Secara rahasia, keluarga Wong terlibat aktif dalam gerakan bawah tanah melawan pemerintahan Dinasti Ch’in yang korup dan penindas. Dinasti Ch’in ialah Dinasti yang merubuhkan kekuasaan Dinasti Yuan yang memerintah sebelumnya. Dinasti Yuan ini dikenal sebagai satu-satunya Dinasti Kaisar Cina yang anggota keluarganya banyak yang memeluk agama Islam.

Wong Fei-Hung mulai mengasah bakat beladirinya sejak berguru kepada Luk Ah-Choi yang juga pernah menjadi guru ayahnya. Luk Ah-Choi inilah yang kemudian mengajarinya dasar-dasar jurus Hung Gar yang membuat Fei Hung sukses melahirkan Jurus Tendangan Tanpa Bayangan yang legendaris. Dasar-dasar jurus Hung Gar ditemukan, dikembangkan dan merupakan andalan dari Hung Hei-Kwun, kakak seperguruan Luk Ah-Choi. Hung Hei-Kwun adalah seorang pendekar Shaolin yang lolos dari peristiwa pembakaran dan pembantaian oleh pemerintahan Dinasti Ch’in pada 1734.

Hung Hei-Kwun ini adalah pemimpin pemberontakan bersejarah yang hampir mengalahkan dinasti penjajah Ch’in yang datang dari Manchuria (sekarang kita mengenalnya sebagai Korea). Jika saja pemerintah Ch’in tidak meminta bantuan pasukan-pasukan bersenjata bangsa asing (Rusia, Inggris, Jepang), pemberontakan pimpinan Hung Hei-Kwun itu niscaya akan berhasil mengusir pendudukan Dinasti Ch’in.

Setelah berguru kepada Luk Ah-Choi, Wong Fei-Hung kemudian berguru pada ayahnya sendiri hingga pada awal usia 20-an tahun, ia telah menjadi ahli pengobatan dan beladiri terkemuka. Bahkan ia berhasil mengembangkannya menjadi lebih maju. Kemampuan beladirinya semakin sulit ditandingi ketika ia berhasil membuat jurus baru yang sangat taktis namun efisien yang dinamakan Jurus Cakar Macan dan Jurus Sembilan Pukulan Khusus. Selain dengan tangan kosong, Wong Fei-Hung juga mahir menggunakan bermacam-macam senjata. Masyarakat Canton pernah menyaksikan langsung dengan mata kepala mereka sendiri bagaimana ia seorang diri dengan hanya memegang tongkat berhasil menghajar lebih dari 30 orang jagoan pelabuhan berbadan kekar dan kejam di Canton yang mengeroyoknya karena ia membela rakyat miskin yang akan mereka peras.

Dalam kehidupan keluarga, Allah banyak mengujinya dengan berbagai cobaan. Seorang anaknya terbunuh dalam suatu insiden perkelahian dengan mafia Canton. Wong Fei-Hung tiga kali menikah karena istri-istrinya meninggal dalam usia pendek. Setelah istri ketiganya wafat, Wong Fei-Hung memutuskan untuk hidup sendiri sampai kemudian ia bertemu dengan Mok Gwai Lan, seorang perempuan muda yang kebetulan juga ahli beladiri. Mok Gwai Lan ini kemudian menjadi pasangan hidupnya hingga akhir hayat. Mok Gwai Lan turut mengajar beladiri pada kelas khusus perempuan di perguruan suaminya.

Pada 1924 Wong Fei-Hung meninggal dalam usia 77 tahun. Masyarakat Cina, khususnya di Kwantung dan Canton mengenangnya sebagai pahlawan pembela kaum mustad’afin (tertindas) yang tidak pernah gentar membela kehormatan mereka. Siapapun dan berapapun jumlah orang yang menindas orang miskin, akan dilawannya dengan segenap kekuatan dan keberanian yang dimilikinya. Wong Fei-Hung wafat dengan meninggalkan nama harum yang membuatnya dikenal sebagai manusia yang hidup mulia, salah satu pilihan hidup yang diberikan Allah kepada seorang muslim selain mati Syahid. Semoga segala amal ibadahnya diterima di sisi Alah Swt dan semoga segala kebaikannya menjadi teladan bagi kita, generasi muslim yang hidup setelahnya. Amin.

Sound stupid huh? Have no idea on how true is it, i read it and had a good laugh about it and that’s all. and NO I DIDN’T TRY IT!!

Ok time for me to talk about some other stuffs and NO don’t go away first lah i haven started yet ok?

First, i would like to tell you this Kimberly here is very the awesome because she just did some wicked comparison on the best Twitter applications for Blackberry. Go read it if you’re like me who’s a Twitter Addict!!

So yes its about the Blackberry Storm2 9520 by Celcom and talking about the phone, i can’t stop thinking about the 3.25″ LCD hi-resolution HVGA + Colour Display screen.

Ultimate all-in-one messaging and multimedia, this is somehow true in many ways. Blackberry devices have been well known for its well designed Push Email Service providing secure E-Mail messaging.

Since the attack of Blackberry devices on Malaysia resulting in a huge wave of youths/younger generation people embracing the phone itself, i would say that the Blackberry Storm actually suits the youths more because of its much more better for entertainment needs where the younger generation are constantly looking for more entertainment every now and then.

I can imagine how awesome it is watching a clip/show on the 3.25″ LCD screen when i’m out and with the capability of adding up to 32GB MicroSD memory to this device, there’ll be quite a lot of entertainment for one’s daily life!

It would be much more comfortable surfing the internet with such a large screen especially with websites containing a lot of interesting contents right?

I don’t know whether will you agree with me on this but hey at least i myself as one of the *cough* younger *cough* generation thinks so that the Blackberry Storm2 will be an awesome device for *cough* young *cough* people *cough* LIKE ME!!

Its all about Malaysia. 3 main parties, one wicked idea and here comes a colorful day filled with sweats plus lots of walking. It was the Merdeka Train Party that i was talking about. On the 31st of August 2009, a bunch of 200+ future leaders of Malaysia gathered together and did something to show the world or at least the whole Malaysia that we can still be united achieving a same objective.

The plan was to fully or more specifically partially decorate the interior of a train with the props provided to celebrate this very significant date for us Malaysians. The independence day that is.

Though the exact meeting time is at 2pm, the usual 30 minutes late magic that happens all the time was clearly not working on the day itself. Instead, people started gathering since 1.30pm.

Soon enough, there were short briefing sessions where everyone gets a set of instructions. 7 teams in total where ZaidHD & NikiCheong leading the crews with 14 leaders leading every other people in the teams.

For me myself i was leading team 2 with Diyana, someone i knew back in the trip to Manchester early this year. All of the teams were given instructions to do some serious business in 7 monorail trains. Each trains with 2 compartments. One team One Train.

In no time, we transformed the interior of the train from this…

to this!!!

It was at Titiwangsa Monorail station that the train was fully decorated into what you won’t normally see daily. Though there were lots of Malaysians who got lost having no idea on what are they getting in the whole journey, many of them did smile, cheered and even sang with us!

We shouted Merdeka from time to time and sang Happy Birthday Song a couple of times. It was crazy but it is all these little things that unite us all together.

There were lots of people saying that there’s no more hope for Malaysia, pointing at the various negative headlines reported every single day by the mainstream media but from what i see, there’s still people having lots of faith in the future of Malaysia keeping the words Malaysia Boleh by their mouths.

Through out the different stops where passengers getting in and out the train, i observed that there were the elder ones who smiled happily looking at the decorations, some even playing with the balloons and such singing along with us shouting Merdeka. Young ones were clapping delightfully.

Quite an encouraging scene i must say being able to participate in this project. At least i am still on a more brighter side thinking more positively at the end of the day.

After everything, everyone gathered at Tun Sambanthan station to get a big group picture.

22 April 2009 – 7.30PM onwards…

It was a night with an interesting topic altogether putting mobile email in the same line as SMS. As much as Gareth’s yay to Text100, most of us were very well treated during the session. Make it a double Yay.

Though just an informal session, a few thoughts were shared on the technologies, advantages and drawbacks of mobile email. Something which i’ve never tried before, considering that i was still a student in the past few years, managing my email accounts on mobile phones don’t really applies to me.

So while spamming, email addiction, multiple accounts and some further details on emails were discussed, what caught my attention was this…

I should have knew it!! The whole place was filled with frequencies where tweets were exchanged here and there. Now that’s technology!!
*i’m expecting someone to come out with a new thing combining twitter, plurk, facebook, msn altogether =D

Anyways, the later night was spent with a few friends drinking tea and coffee in a Sg Buloh’s McD followed by watching the match between Manchester and Portsmouth at Jalan Ipoh.

Just came back from a yumcha session after Nuffnang premiere screening on Fast & Furious 4 and i must tell you, i love da muvee!! NICE!!

Anyways, yesterday was a pretty interesting. There was a news of Microsoft acquiring Apple. Then over at jobstreet there’s this most awesome job!!

then the traffic light tried to be funny by blinking its light causing traffic jam xD.

Good thing the people at Nuffnang didn’t display a banner @ Cineleisure with 4 words – Happy April Fools Day. Lolx. Oh btw, i really wish this was true. Haha. I have people congratulating me, asking me to treat and i even have an enquiry on the clash between google adsense with nuffnang gliterrati status!! LOL. Both of them won’t clash la!!!

Those who’ve been watching one of the TVB current ongoing drama will know who is Laughing 哥.

He’s a character from this specific drama, Emergency Unit 學警狙擊 and i guessed most viewers loved this specific character after what happen in one of the latest episodes just recently.

Crazy Hong Kong TVB Drama followers hahahhahahaaha…. Seriously, this is freaking funny, at least for me it is hahaha!!

I had a good sarcastic laugh myself reading the news and the blog posts especially finding out how he looked like. (if the picture of him posted is true)

Many guys might start worshiping this so called “Edison Chen of Singapore” as much as they worshiped the REAL Edison Chen, i do think that these people have real serious mental problem. Just like what my friend said, maybe he should go find Mr Bala.

Seriously, what’s so nice and proud about having all these with so many people?? To show off to your friends?? To have a certain level of satisfaction recording down how many successful rounds??

Whatever it is, I’m pretty sure that to all these people, there will be a certain level of damage made mentally by themselves and all this are just an act of further hurting themselves stepping deeper and if they continue doing this, they will find themselves being in a black hole so hard to get out and worst come to worst committing suicide will be one of their option.

Then that would be tragic.
