ABL- KL DRAGONS VS Singapore Slingers

It was just a 9 points gap with 21 seconds more till the game ends. A winning game at home ground that is for the KL Dragons. It was just yesterday, the 17th of January 2010.

Alright so it was my second time watching them playing at MABA Stadium where this time, the whole stadium was fully packed. Not like the stadium is freaking big anyways but i guess its because of the weekend.

The last time i watched them played, it was on a working day, a Tuesday.

Mind me i’m still quite *ahem* with the girls.

Yeah so the game was pretty one sided with KL Dragons dominating most of the time. Perhaps the Singapore Slingers are not taking it seriously then with 8 winning games on hand but well, the game was well played.

Of course, you cant compare such league(Asean Basketball League) with the NBA in USA. It’s just different. The game ended with KL Dragons winning 78-71 over Singapore Slingers. Quite a numbers of 3 pointers i think. Hehe.

So yah, the game rocked!! I cheered. For the players of course and not the cheerleaders!!!

Nice huh?
*go watch the video above!
**thanks to Kelvin again!

ABL – KL DRAGONS VS Satria Muda BritAma

Earlier tonight i was at The Malaysia Basketball Association (MABA) watching the basketball game between KL Dragons and Satria Muda. It was a game of the Asean Basketball League, some relatively new league in the region.

To be frank, i’m just like most skeptical Malaysians who doubted local sports team such as the Harimau Malaya soccer team who emerged as champion during the Laos SEA Games 2009. I wasn’t really expecting a lot from this game.

Anyways, on this game itself, KL Dragons against Satria Muda, the first half wasn’t really
convincing, the away team managed to get quite a lot of points under the dragons noses, with not much sweat i must say. Some what 16-18 point gap if i’m not mistaken.
*in a NBA game, a 20 point gap almost means a lost for the weaker side.

However, in the second half, it seems that KL Dragon’s coach have used a different formation with slight changes on how the team play and they were much better then, with more successful counter attacks and less failing attempts, they managed to pull the gap to as close as 8-9 points. I was pretty excited and hyped up in the second half!

Rudy was one KL Dragons player that i had the strongest impression.

The 198cm center player is a bit too weak i must say, need to eat more and grow stronger to withstand the opponent under the hop.

Satria Muda, though having quite a number of cocky players, they played well and were more organized through out the game.

Match ended with Satria Muda winning 69 – 57 KL Dragons.

Oh by the way, bumped into Amanda, Liang and Fugz!
