Kakiis to Project 500, Huh?
Dec 3rd
It was just like yesterday that this happen!!!
and i got this email not long ago….

What is this!! I thought they have loads of cash and a whole big picture knowing what to do giving out gifts and prizes for free every now and then with an expanding community in Malaysia?
Talking about that, do you know about this Project 500 thingy where they had this event last Saturday inviting like loads of people revealing what it is all about as well as having a screening of Bulan Baru!!
Very funny i tell you because i know a number of people who got into the project and was invited to the event as well, feedback was they wonder how these 500 were chosen where there were like less than 10 people tweeting about the event then. Chosen online social media elite users that is. Then the next thing i know, they have 100++ extra tickets to the screening of New Moon.
!!!
Oh and i was actually invited to join Project 500 through an email by doing a survey but i wasn’t invited to the event. Then on Sunday itself, i received an email from them saying this title “Welcome to Project 500″ and part of the email goes like this “Congratulations on being one of the exclusive 500 BETA testers”
Almost immediately i had this exact feeling when i checked whether i was selected to be in the National Service program years ago.
“TAHNIAH, ANDA DIPILIH UNTUK MENYERTAI PROGRAM KHIDMAT NEGARA ”
Macam kena con je T_______T!!!
Read more on the event of Project 500 here.
So erm Uh Oh know what? I head over to Kakiis website and oh i’m a genius!!

So they are really into something BIGGER!! So they have loads of cash and Kakiis is just a puppet project for them where they are looking into a bigger picture doing something bigger?
Whatever it is, I’m really wondering. Hmmm.
Let’s just see.
Am i the last one to know that its the same people behind Kakiis as well as this Project 500?

1Internet, Happy 40th Birthday!
Oct 30th
It was my mom who introduced me to this very best friend of mine. I remembered it was back in 1998 that i created my first email and surfing on this “thing” call Netscape Navigator getting knowing more about this friend, The Internet. Hearing the 56k modem dialing its way for me to be in touch with this friend was what i did from time to time when my mom wasn’t in front of the computer. Then The Internet introduced me to more friends through mediums like “MIRC” “ICQ” and etc where Internet even provided me some personal space of mine on some “sites” such as Geocities and Homestead. So yea i pretty take “him” as my best friend since then and never looked back.
Thinking back about it, i had quite an adventure being introduced to alot of new stuffs “seeing” alot of things as well Sshhhh. Napster was there as my sole music provider where Google haven even existed. I had too much time interacting with the Internet till bills went up to RM200-rm300 per month if i’m not mistaken and Mom addded some password protection on her computer resulted me spending more hours in Cyber Cafes compared to my Home.
Today, i couldn’t really live without this friend. I couldn’t have imagine that i would rely on the Internet so much till this very day, it was altogether an amazing trip thus far and now i couldn’t imagine what would happen in like 10, 20, 30 years time to come where i just hope that Internet will still be my best friend by then.
Perhaps Shinra will emerged and take over the world or something like that. Of course i would put my faith in our Prime Minister Mr Razak in his 1Malaysia concept. I hope that in the coming years, there’ll be 1Internet, 1Broadband, 1World which is basicly 1Everything then from there 1Everyone will be able to make Michael Jackson’s dream come true.
1HealTheWorld.

Anyhow, anyway, Happy 40th Birthday!!

Microsoft CIBAI and P1 Wiggy 69
Jul 15th
I had a good laugh when this CIBAI thingy was brought up all of a sudden thanks to the massive tweets and retweets on twitter, Good Job to Microsoft that you entertained us all especially us Chinese people.
and then, earlier today i saw a link on one of the tweet showing this wiggy69 package. Awesome man i tell you, GETTING A 69 FOR YOUR WIGGY IS UNBELIEVABLE!!
Youtube Craze and Such. Community, Friends & Relationships.
Jun 30th
Call me an outdated person or perhaps an idiot, i was never a hardcore fan of Youtube like some of my friends who would logon to Youtube and watch some kickass clips sharing it all around on MSN, Blogs, Twitter and such.
The first time i knew about this very dude was when a friend of mine sharing a YouTube video link on twitter with me being curious clicking on it.
View the video if you’re a Michael Jackson fan. View it TWICE if you’re not!
I went on and watched a few more videos and found out that this dude had a primary account here and the MJ video above was on his secondary account.
This dude here is Kevin and his YouTube channel is 5th on the list of the Current YouTube All Time Most Subscribed Channels. Thats Crazy Ok!
He’s really Wow.
I mean like how many college freshman get invited by a professor to give a lecture in class and somehow out of the blue, there’s this mini dance party happening with the professor dancing as well!
Its really O.O and i LOL-ed at that!!
Of course, he wasn’t the only one being famous on YouTube. And in every different community, the few famous people will make friends with each other.

Just like Su Ann & Kenny in the Malaysia Blogosphere. But i didn’t know that it could happen in YouTube!!
I mean like, i post my videos, you post your videos and people love our videos and we got lots of subcribers and we became friends through YouTube somehow, Indirectly. I don’t see how it could become like that. In real life, it happens…
I’m pretty sure that Kelvin a.k.a KevJumba made a few friends through YouTube and one of them is MichellePhan.
Oh maybe MichellePhan is not famous enough(for some people) and so here’s another YouTube Famous personality, Christine a.k.a HappySlip where her channel is 16th on the Current YouTube All Time Most Subscribed Channels. She TAGGED Kevin here and here’s Kevin’s reply to the tag.
*michellephan’s channel is 57th on the Current YouTube All Time Most Subscribed Channels.
and uh oh, a group which consists some of the big names(including the 3 mentioned above) on YouTube actually gathered together for a live performance in New York early last month.
Of course, these examples of friend making process above don’t only applies to famous people in their respective online communities, it applies to every single person in the community itself.
*just that i can get more specific examples to talk about because they are famous.
I actually find all these connections, friendships, strings that are attached and pulled between several strangers from different backgrounds, communities, and even countries where they get together knowing each other, It’s all amazing.
50 years back, who could’ve imagine that you could make friends in such a way, finding your buddy or perhaps your soul partner.
Through mediums such as Blogs, Youtube, Facebook, Friendster and maybe Twitter/Plurk with just you being behind a screen connecting to something call the Internet/Cyberspace with another thing with the name Broadband Connection.
Thank God For Internet!
Nokia N97 KL Media Launch : The Online You!?
Jun 15th
The Online me is adventurous
The Online me is childish and lame
Ha…

Everyone is unique and different in their own ways when they’re accessing their computer, going into the never ending cyberspace, be it lurking, exploring, wandering, surfing, there are endless ways and no limitations.
and i guess that’s part of what the N97 maker thought when they build the phone.

Early this month, on the 5th of June 2009, i attended the media launch of the Nokia Nseries N97 mobile device @ Mandarin Oriental Hotel KLCC. Yes i know, no sign of recession for Nokia either. Ha.

So yea, this is the N97.
With a 3.5 inch screen Symbian base mobile device that is build for those who frequent the cyberspace, this phone have a 32GB on-board memory where you can add 16GB more via microSD. Storing a few thousand MP3 tracks and having various of online web applications installed really caught my attention since the last symbian device i had. N73.
Compared to the 16GB memory of N96 and 8GB memory of N95 8GB, this specific one is really a WOW.
I used to love it having a Symbian Mobile Device when i have N73 but the problem is because of the thickness. That’s why i didn’t further upgrade to a higher spec device and change to Samsung U600 instead due to its slimness.
I wasnt really amazed by N95 because of its thickness. Gah.
I wasnt really amazed by N96 as well because its still erm a bit thick.

but this specific one, N97 with a dimension of 117.2 x 5.3 x 15.9mm, this phone is slimer than N96 by 2mm and N95 by 5mm. *was aiming for 5800 previously but now since i played with N97 i would want this! xD
I wonder if they will come out with N98 nex year with 12mm height. Lolx
Anyways…
Imagine having LIVE updates from your friends from Facebook or from Twitter on their status on your home screen wherever & whenever you go. THAT of course you have to pay to access to the internet then. =)
Seriously, with a retail price of RM2480 for such a device is really pretty cheap if you ask me. Just compare with the past few Nokia Nseries device where some of them went up to RM3k when they were first released. Of course, for
Well, wait till i start working then maybe in half a year time i might get this phone bah. Ha Ha.
Shall stop talking about the phone here where you can actually access to more information on http://2009.nseries.com

Oh did i mention that the food served during the event was awesomely delicious? Especially the desserts. Yummy!!

and uh oh they have this screen throughout the event where it will be updated based on #n97kl keyword, fellow twitpeeps/twitterians/twittese whatever you call them updated their twitter status and it all appeared on the screen.
Click here to see all N97KL related tweets!!

Thanks to NokiaMsia & Text100, i was 1 of the many Malaysians that have the privilege to see, touch and play around with the device during the event. I wish it could be longer. My relationship with N97 that is.

Cheers!
Sugar Anyone?
Apr 22nd
22 April 2009 – 7.30PM onwards…
It was a night with an interesting topic altogether putting mobile email in the same line as SMS. As much as Gareth’s yay to Text100, most of us were very well treated during the session. Make it a double Yay.

Though just an informal session, a few thoughts were shared on the technologies, advantages and drawbacks of mobile email. Something which i’ve never tried before, considering that i was still a student in the past few years, managing my email accounts on mobile phones don’t really applies to me.

So while spamming, email addiction, multiple accounts and some further details on emails were discussed, what caught my attention was this…
one blogger taking out a phone with his fingers pressing some buttons smiling all by himself.
another blogger snapping a picture with his E series handphone…
then a few others having their fingers pressing the keys on their phones…
Soon, Kel Li showed me this…

I should have knew it!! The whole place was filled with frequencies where tweets were exchanged here and there. Now that’s technology!!
*i’m expecting someone to come out with a new thing combining twitter, plurk, facebook, msn altogether =D
crazy Malaysian bloggers.
*i want a phone with wifi also la!! sending text to +447624801423 is a bit too expensive =(

Anyways, the later night was spent with a few friends drinking tea and coffee in a Sg Buloh’s McD followed by watching the match between Manchester and Portsmouth at Jalan Ipoh.
Wooohoooooo!!!!!
Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee~
yeh, too much sugar i suppose.
*oh do check out this place Saffron @ Solaris Mont Kiara if you happen to be there, nais.
*thanks David
