This is getting more and more amusing LOL!!!!!!!

It’s been hours since Twitter went down and went back to normal for like just a few seconds and then went down again. The whole process repeated itself resulting in repeating tweets being posted with the explanation of MAINTAINANCE job being done at this time.

The amount of tweets that amused me through out this Twitter Fail Whale Period entertained me to the max i must say.

Stupid Twitter with a whole bunch of loyal faithful users Haha. ALL NOOBS! Including me.

I love Twitter as much as how i hate it when it goes down.

LOL. Random. Bye!

新浪微博 Sina Twitter-like Microblogging Platform – WeiBo

Sometimes, it’s not a bad move getting people’s idea and starting off from there building something similar with extra features added on.

Twitter have been an international phenomenon in recent years with 75 Million users users in early 2010.

我在 wozai

做啥 Zuosa

then, a few Twitter-like service have emerged from China/Taiwan with everything translated to Chinese/Mandarin and before they could actually make it big, the great wall of China denied them straight leaving these services out of reach for the massive internet users from China.

新浪

In August 2009, China’s web portal giant Sina.com 新浪 launched a beta version of microblogging service that is similar to Twitter – Weibo 新浪微博. As of early 2010, Sina’s CEO have revealed that there are already 5 Million registered users in total using the service.

Looking at the growth of the service with more users registering each day, Weibo is on its way to to bring Social Media to the next level in China. With China’s population growing thus increasing the numbers of internet users at a rapid rate each day, i wonder how big will Weibo become.

新浪微博艺人
Celebrities on Weibo

Just like Twitter, the massive amounts of signups by famous celebrities/individuals on Weibo did quite the magic in getting the numbers up, but as long as China is standing firm along with “THE GREAT (FIRE)WALL OF CHINA”, there’ll be limited expanding space for Weibo 新浪微博.

Personally, i prefer following Chinese Celebrities more than the Western ones, so i do hope that Weibo 微博 will make it big in the next few years, but of course, i’ll still be active on Twitter as that’s where all my friends are.

Anyhow, 关注我吧!

Here’s a very up-to-date list of all the Web 2.0 and social-networking sites that are not accessible in China:

Facebook
Twitter
YouTube
Posterous blogs
Blogger blogs (a.k.a. Google’s Blogspot service)
WordPress free blogs
Typepad blogs
LiveJournal blogs
Opera blogs
Tumblr
LiveLeak
DailyMotion
ImageShack
Google’s Picasa Web Albums (login accessible, but borked thereafter, and photos inaccessible)
Google Image search results (very frequent reset connections)
Orkut
Bebo

iTalkWhoa is here!!

Being told about this whole new thing by TM that features a platform combining multiple social tools/softwares/programs together, it actually reminds me of some certain project that surfaced not long ago.

The next thing i did was signing up this new service and explore about it. Filled with curiosity, i was delighted that there’s an amount of RM5 for free that was accredited into my account after i successfully registered myself.

Made my way to the main page after logging on into the platform and started looking around for the buttons and toolbars exploring the different functions.

Well, presented in front of me was a pretty straight forward user interface with the few main tabs on the side with a toolbar on top filled with buttons. Emails, Contacts, Calendar and Notes, Twitter and SMS were on the side

and you know what?

The very first thing i did was clicking on the Twitter tab and almost immediately, the right side of the screen shows the Twitter page and for a second i was wondering where and how to add my Twitter account till i found this credential button.

Not too bad as it was pretty responsive and loads a bit smoother compared to some certain project i’ve mentioned above which makes me wonder is it related to this.

Anyway, I went on and updated my Twitter status announcing to the whole world that this month is a good month and the process of updates was fast where i managed to trace my status straight away on twitter.com!

The next thing i played around with was the SMS function on iTalkWhoa. Spent quite some time while adding the number and soon i somehow managed to add in my own number to try out the SMS feature.

am happy to say that i’m pretty satisfy with the speed of sending out the SMS, I received the SMS on my phone the next few seconds that is!

Apart from both Twitter and SMS, i have yet to try the other features and up till now,  i’m still quite okay with the whole idea of collaborating multiple social media tools together in a same platform.

Though it’s not something new, but i still love the idea of sending SMS through my computer to my friend/family and seeing that i SMS a lot with my girl, i would probably frequent this feature a lot.

Till then, do head to iTalkWhoa.com and try out the newly built platform which contains multiple social media features for you to Connect and Collaborate with your friends and family. After all, its free and you’ll get RM5 upon registration, so no harm trying right?

At the end of the day, i can’t say and judge on behalf of you, it’s all up to you whether this whole thing appears to be WHOA or not. Till then!! Cheers =)

Kakiis to Project 500, Huh?

It was just like yesterday that this happen!!!

and i got this email not long ago….

What is this!! I thought they have loads of cash and a whole big picture knowing what to do giving out gifts and prizes for free every now and then with an expanding community in Malaysia?

Talking about that, do you know about this Project 500 thingy where they had this event last Saturday inviting like loads of people revealing what it is all about as well as having a screening of Bulan Baru!!

Very funny i tell you because i know a number of people who got into the project and was invited to the event as well, feedback was they wonder how these 500 were chosen where there were like less than 10 people tweeting about the event then. Chosen online social media elite users that is. Then the next thing i know, they have 100++ extra tickets to the screening of New Moon.

!!!

Oh and i was actually invited to join Project 500 through an email by doing a survey but i wasn’t invited to the event. Then on Sunday itself, i received an email from them saying this title “Welcome to Project 500″ and part of the email goes like this “Congratulations on being one of the exclusive 500 BETA testers”

Almost immediately i had this exact feeling when i checked whether i was selected to be in the National Service program years ago.

“TAHNIAH, ANDA DIPILIH UNTUK MENYERTAI PROGRAM KHIDMAT NEGARA ”

Macam kena con je T_______T!!!

Read more on the event of Project 500 here.

So erm Uh Oh know what? I head over to Kakiis website and oh i’m a genius!!

So they are really into something BIGGER!! So they have loads of cash and Kakiis is just a puppet project for them where they are looking into a bigger picture doing something bigger?

Whatever it is, I’m really wondering. Hmmm.

Let’s just see.

Am i the last one to know that its the same people behind Kakiis as well as this Project 500?

1Internet, Happy 40th Birthday!

It was my mom who introduced me to this very best friend of mine. I remembered it was back in 1998 that i created my first email and surfing on this “thing” call Netscape Navigator getting knowing more about this friend, The Internet. Hearing the 56k modem dialing its way for me to be in touch with this friend was what i did from time to time when my mom wasn’t in front of the computer. Then The Internet introduced me to more friends through mediums like “MIRC” “ICQ” and etc where Internet even provided me some personal space of mine on some “sites” such as Geocities and Homestead. So yea i pretty take “him” as my best friend since then and never looked back.

Thinking back about it, i had quite an adventure being introduced to alot of new stuffs “seeing” alot of things as well Sshhhh. Napster was there as my sole music provider where Google haven even existed. I had too much time interacting with the Internet till bills went up to RM200-rm300 per month if i’m not mistaken and Mom addded some password protection on her computer resulted me spending more hours in Cyber Cafes compared to my Home.

Today, i couldn’t really live without this friend. I couldn’t have imagine that i would rely on the Internet so much till this very day, it was altogether an amazing trip thus far and now i couldn’t imagine what would happen in like 10, 20, 30 years time to come where i just hope that Internet will still be my best friend by then.

Perhaps Shinra will emerged and take over the world or something like that. Of course i would put my faith in our Prime Minister Mr Razak in his 1Malaysia concept. I hope that in the coming years, there’ll be 1Internet, 1Broadband, 1World which is basicly 1Everything then from there 1Everyone will be able to make Michael Jackson’s dream come true.

1HealTheWorld.
