Back From May’n BIG WAAAAAVE!! Asia Tour 2010 LIVE at KL Live Centre, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia!
Mar 8th
Woohoo!! It’s an awesome month. I’ve met 2 awesome girl in the first 2 weeks of March and i’m gonna meet the most awesome girl next weekend!!!!

Please forgive me for my stupidity but anyways, i just came back from a concert, an awesomely energetic one with impressive vocal showcase from May’n of Macross Frontier fame all the way from Japan here in Kuala lumpur indicating her first stop of the May’n BIG WAAAAAVE!! Asia Tour 2010!!

I really wonder that did any other Japan pop/mainstream singer came to Malaysia to perform before or not but this is the first time i’ve watch a Japan singer performing and i’m more than happy to be there!!

With a whole crowd of hardcore fans waiting there since God knows what time, the concert only started around 8pm where i already see these bunch of people at around 6.30PM.

The lightnings was just nice and with the massive amount of sticks waving through out the whole night, i was happy that i was like 3-4 row in front and not behind.

Didn’t realize that she WAS THAT cute when i went on YouTube to find her videos, i had like 5 seconds stand still moment stoning there admiring the one on stage performing the songs that got her the fame she deserved!
Alright so i was told that we bloggers should not post any pictures of May’n taken and we need to get the official pictures from them which explains why i blurred some of her pictures above but hey i figured out that some fan would want to see her so there you go…
One of the pictures i took to show how awesome she was!!
*believe me, she’s awesome!!
*and so the organizers said no pics of May’n allowed to be post at all so i’ve removed the pics =D

So yea it was quite an awesome end to this very weekend i suppose and i’m now looking forward to the next weekend.
Cheers to May’n and every single singers from Japan, i somehow believe that the singers from Japan have this sorta magic that could capture people’s heart even though some of them might not even understand their language.
I’m one of them. =X
Would love to see more performances like this. Awesomely AWESOME!!
With that being said, stay tuned for a post with more pictures of May’n if i do get my hands on the official photos that is. *fingers crossed*
Till then, one last picture for you…

One of the Crew. Ha!

American Idol Season 8 Winner – Kris Allen Performing Live at The Gardens, Kuala Lumpur Malaysia
Feb 10th

Allen was born from Jacksonville, Arkansas, to Kimberly (née Wood) and Neil Allen. He is the elder of two sons; his younger brother, Daniel, is a college cheer-leading coach. Allen is a Christian and served as assistant music director at the non-denominational New Life Church in both Conway, Arkansas, and Little Rock, Arkansas. Allen has participated in missionary work around the world, including in Burma, Morocco, Mozambique, South Africa, Spain, and Thailand.

Before Kris came out
So, it was Kris Allen’s live in Kuala Lumpur Music Showcase just 2 nights ago at The Gardens Midvalley where Kris Allen rocked the house with 800 music fans shouting and screaming throughout the night!

An expected delay at the start of the showcase where the emcees were there to hype up the crowd with returning screaming for Kris Allen proves that the fan base here in Malaysia are really really crazy about him.
Kris Allen – Heartless

Kris Allen came out on stage that night and responded to the fans with an impressive display of his vocal talent that got him the winning title of American Idol Season 8. I consider myself lucky to be among the first few row right in front of him where i really enjoyed the performance.
Not even ONE bit of disappointment!! =)

and i must say that the band behind was really good, they deserve as much credits as Kris Allen that night where if not because of them, the music won’t be that good where i won”t be able to totally enjoy the show .

It was the first time an American Idol winner performed live in Malaysia and i’m more than glad to be part of it and of course, i would love to see more of such awesome performance be it by international artists or local ones!

With that, i insist that you watch the video below with Kris Allen performing Come Together, the video have hit 1.5k hits so far where some of the fans loved it to max, you’ll love it too!
Kris Allen – Come Together

Would love to watch Kris Allen live in performance again in the future!! Do check out the videos and pictures taken below yah!
Thanks to both STAR World Asia and Sony Music Malaysia.

Coming Soon : Through Everyone’s Window!
Nov 9th

Seriously, did you watch the videos that was on Everyoneconnects.net? The ones on the Karaoke Sing Along Booths that happened in the past few days?

There were participants who were so hyped up that they jumped, waved their hands and moved along the rhythm singing their hearts out!

There was some who was so shy as well, singing softly and it’s all quite funny to watch. I mean like hey, they were pretty brave getting themselves recorded on a video that will be uploaded on the internet. All expressing themselves in their own ways!
Anyways, this post is not about it. Its about something bigger that is happening very soon!!
It’s about the final event that will be happening on the 21st of November 2009 where there will be activities and people would be having fun enjoying the performances that day itself!
Performances from artists like :

Tomok

Modread

Mila Akim & Dafi

Shila
and of course, the very original voices behind the theme song, Through My Windows of Everyoneconnects.net

Bunkface!
I could imagine the crowd that day and people would be cheering and shouting singing along with the local artists they love and of course, not to mention, the activities that will be held that day awaiting everyone

So do mark down that specific date, 21st of November 2009 on your calendar and make sure u get yourself free that day and attend this very event! It will definitely be a blast! =D
Follow EveryoneConnects.net for more info.
See you there!
* i actually like Shila’s version of Through My Window. hehe
T Music Festival @ Bukit Jalil National Stadium
Sep 21st
I just realized i have this backdated post which i have not write yet. Photos were filtered long ago but i just forgot to make this post.*laughs*
Alright, it was definitely an awesome music festival/concert and i’ve never attended such an event with like what?! around 20 performing artists and all of them are big in the Chinese entertainment industry!! Almost all of them.

All thanks to Tiger, Nuffnang and of course Vivien for the tickets provided for me to attend this very happening festival 2 weeks ago.

Tagged along Ren to the venue and bumped into a bunch of familiar faces that includes Jacquelyn, Bernard, Jackie, Simon, Alex, TianChad and etc.

Due to the many performances that is happening that night itself, the event actually started ON TIME. At 7PM itself.

There were artists from like Hong Kong, Taiwan, China, Singapore, Thailand and of course Malaysia, too much performances to be fully stated out here so i’ll just highlight the ones i enjoyed that night. Yes i’m a bit lazy at the moment.

Alright, the first few acts on that night itself were pretty boring and not entertaining at all. It was up till Manhand 慢行 came out to perform that i start to enjoy the night. They are a local hip hop group, similar to the group 農夫Fama from Hong Kong.

Soler was awesome that night, performing songs like 风的季节、细味、失魂、Lead which was like nice! I’ve always like their music ever since they emerged in the entertainment industry. Just one thing during their performance, the PA people seems to be screwing up the sound system when Soler performed and their vocals were a bit overshadowed by the band behind them.

When Kenny Kwan 關智斌 came out to perform i couldn’t recognize who’s him as i was pretty far away from the stage, only when i heard some familiar song, then only i realized he’s one of the member of Boy’z, a Hong Kong cantopop duo which i liked years ago.
I wonder why they didn’t manage to get BIG as their music are like very good.

I must say, Power Station 动力火车 was the bomb that night. The best performance were from them, when they were performing, the sound system problem seems to be solved already where there’s a balance in both the sounds from the vocals as well as the band. It was a bomb because they started off with a compilation of songs, the classic ones where they were very well known of with, songs like 第一滴泪+那就这样吧+背叛情书+忠孝东路走九遍. They then continued and 继续转动、爱到疯癫、你是我的眼、彩虹.
It was a freaking awesome performance!

Jade 刘力扬 joined in with Power Station 动力火车 performing 热情的沙漠 and brought the atmosphere to a higher level. She then performed some of her own songs, 一句一伤、拍写、眼泪笑了、我就是这样. Nicely done!

“Camwhoring” moments happened from time to time whenever we got bored of the artists/performances.

When it was like around 10.21PM, there was this main cable that was caught on fire and it caused power failure in the midst of the concert where the concert was forced to be stop for at least 30 minutes. Some rather rare incident i must say as you don’t get to witness such Error in concerts.
However, the organizers denied the incident and said it was caused by a failure on one of the power fuse. If you want to know more about it, you can see the pictures & videos taken here by me, proof showing that there was a cable caught on fire.

Through out the power failure that causes the sound and lighting to go off, the remaining artists that haven perform came out on stage and interacted with the massive crowd of fans, singing a bit of their songs. With just a Hailer Speaker. You can watch the video here. *laughs*
Back to the concert itself, after the electricity were fully resumed.

I was delighted to see Khalil Fong 方大同 performing live as i like his songs a lot. Performing songs like 爱爱爱、Singalong Song、Love Song、Nothing’s Gonna Change My Love For You that night, i would say that listening to his song live was really really comfortable & relaxing. Nice one!

Z-chen 张智成 was the next performer that managed to entertain everyone there. With songs like 快乐、爱来的刚好、凌晨三点钟、迷魂阵 and a massive fan base here in Malaysia, its quite hard not to sing along with him and go along the flow enjoying myself.

Sam 李圣杰, one of my favourite singer as well performed 擦肩而过、So Fun、手放开、痴心绝对 that night. and for your information, it was the 7058th times of him singing 痴心绝对 in front of a crowd, a song that brought fame to him years ago. I mean like, 7058th time performing the same song again and again over the years, that’s insane!

Justin 侧田 rocked the stadium with Volar、决战二世祖、命硬、男人KTV that night and it was a pretty energetic performance by him, getting all hyped up going from left to right and running here and there, he managed to really make the crowd going crazy shouting and cheering for him. He was one of the best performer that night for me. =)

David Tao 陶喆 was the 2nd last performer of the night and he sang 火鸟功、暗恋、找自己、爱很简单. He was good and he performed well, but i was a bit tad disappointed because i was expecting more other songs from him. Well, better than nothing right?
It was already like 1AM when the last singer Joey 容祖儿 came out on stage and performed at her very best singing songs like 越唱越强、搜神记、这就是爱吗、我的骄傲. Clearly one of the best Female singer in Hong Kong, it was her that i enjoyed the event up till the end, forgetting the stupid 30 Minutes cable on fire incident.

At the end of the day, i must say that Power Station 动力火车 was the best that night where i enjoyed most listening to their performances. The event was still a blast for me though there’s an error in the middle of the concert. *laughs*
I had a great night. =)

Tata Young Take You To The World Press Conference @ Don Muang Airport
Sep 16th
If you’ve been following this blog of mine, you would have know that just last week, i left Malaysia and went all the way to Bangkok, Thailand to attend this event – Tata Young : Take You To The World. A press conference held at the runway of Don Muang Airport marking the release of her very 3rd English album : Ready For Love.
It was on the 9th of September 2009. Does the date 090909 rings any bell to any of you out there? Hmm.

Thanks to Sony Music Malaysia and of course Kel Li, i am able to attend this very event all the way up north of Malaysia. It was around 12PM that we reached Bangkok, checking in the hotel and settling down. We – Janice, a reporter from Yeah magazine, Min from 988 Radio Station, William from TheStar, and Miss Cho from Sony Music Malaysia.

At around 5PM, after some *cough* shopping *cough* we headed to Don Muang Airport for the event itself. With me being in event like this for the first time that is in such a big scale, i can’t possible say that i’m not nervous at all, i was like Gosh, this is an official media event and its Tata Young!! Not Abu, Ah Wong or Mohan, Its TATA YOUNG!!

It was an event so exclusive that we even have a boarding pas and not to brag about it, being with a bunch of media people from countries such as Taiwan, China, Indonesia and etc, i really felt so tiny at one point that like i’m totally out of the picture, with the images of other more qualified bloggers compared to me going on in my mind. I was feeling all mixed up.

Anyway, back to the main topic, after having some refreshments, we were asked to proceed to the runway of the airport, going pass a few security checks and so. It was around 8.30PM+ that the fans were allowed to enter the area, with lots of props, boards and such showing their support.

At 9PM sharp, Thailand’s most well known celebrity Tata Young made a grand entrance to the venue by coming down from an airplane to the stage itself, performing straight away with her 1st single of her latest album : Ready For Love.

I must say that it was a world class performance by Tata Young. She did it her way and showed the world what she was capable of presenting the very best side of herself. I mean like i’ve watched a couple of videos of her on Youtube before but being able to watch her performing live, its a different thing altogether.

Tata Young performed and sang 3 songs : Ready For Love, Mission is You and Burning Out and had a short break after that interacting with the crowd. Talking mostly about her new English album.

Tata Young entertained us with 2 more songs, My Bloody Valentine and Dhoom Dhoom after the short break. For your information, Dhoom Dhoom is a song that brought fame to Tata Young in India where it was the theme song of a well known series in India.

The very song Dhoom Dhoom indicates the ending of the mini concert followed by snaps of flashes by fellow photographers with their shutters on burst mode and interviews were conducted after that. The one and only time i saw so many Video Cameraman in action.

At the same time, some other artists from Sony Music Thailand were there to be included in the limelight as well. Getting photographed and interviews as well. As for this group of girl above, they do not have a group name yet, still undergoing training by Sony Music Thailand.

Tata Young is a really good performer who can sing really well, she really deserved all the awards all these years along with her achievements and i believe that with this 3rd English album, she could go really far and breakthrough a whole new level.
and it was said that this is the very first time that an album press conference was held on the runway of an airport. Quite awesome i think.

At the end of the day, i must say, i’m honored to be there at the concert/press conference and i really appreciate having the chance. Being able to watch Tata Young performing in person in such a venue, on the runway of an airport, it was totally beyond imagination and thanks to Sony Music Thailand, we were very very well treated. I really thank God for all these.
Not to forget, Sony Music Malaysia & Kel Li as well, Thank You!
