MUFORS Road Reels – Short Film Competition to Transform Negativity to Positivity!

Do you still remember that back in primary school days, teacher will teach us on how to cross the road? Look to your left, then to your right and look back to your left and make sure there’s no car, then only cross?

To those who drive, do you signal when you want to turn into a junction? Were you concentrating whenever you’re driving?

Every day, we read about fatal accidents that causes deaths where most cases happens due to the careless and reckless attitudes from the drivers. In fact, I was actually one of such victims a year ago being involved in this car crash which I kind of cheated death. I was lucky to get out of it but how about others?

For your information, an average 17 people were killed as a result of traffic accidents everyday in Malaysia!

Accidents could actually be avoided if we change our mindsets be it on or off the road. To not let emotions take control and to obey the law and of course, not taking short cuts.

With that being said, have you heard about MUFORS?

Malaysians Unite for Road Safety (MUFORS) is a community project that was set up for the public to actually voice out their thoughts and concerns on road safety in Malaysia, a platform for us all to get us thinking on what can we do to make Malaysian roads safer.

In 2009, an astonishing amount of 240,000 Malaysians made their personal pledges for road safety via text, photo, video and SMS through the MUFORS website and road shows all over Malaysia.

This year round in 2010, there will be this MUFORS Road Reels Short Film Competition that is open to students of all universities, colleges and institutions of higher learning in Malaysia with the theme “Attitudes on Roads – A Malaysian Journey”.

To make a short film by capturing moments and scenes that will reflect attitudes on Malaysian roads be it positive or negative and ultimately displaying a positive message through the final video for the public to have a real serious thought in their mind, to create the impact and awareness.

This competition is also to enable students to be part of MUFORS as agents in giving road safety advocacy by encouraging people around to take ownership of road safety and specify “what my role is in promoting road safety and saving lives”.

Of course, there’ll be rewards for those best individuals behind the short films and here’s some information that might interest you :

Wacoal – Sensuala Calendar Girl Launch Party at Mist Club Bangsar

I was totally blinded last night when i find myself in the sea of photographers flashing their ways to snap girls in bras and such at Mist Club. It was the Wacoal – Sensuala Calendar Girl launch party.

What? Cannot attend wan meh? Yes i don’t wear them but i’m straight!! Nuff said.

So there was this group of dancers who is apparently the finalist of So You Think You Can Dance and yes they can dance but as a group they are really bad, then there’s this so called best pole dancers in Malaysia who is really, indescribable.

They performed. and the massive amounts of flashes around me was like declaring war with each other…

and i tell you, it was 2 hours of war scene there, as though as the DSLRs doesn’t need batteries. On the other hand, the girls were a bit, different than i’ve expected.

Not like i’m qualified to judge people or how should a competition as such be, just one thing i wonder, HOW DO THE OTHER 380+ GIRLS LOOK LIKE?

Because they claimed to have more than 400 entries to this Sensuala Calendar Girl search itself.

Alright, the girls were not bad lah, just that it could be better. Anyhow anyway, do watch the video posted in the start of this post to check the girls out alright? Cheers!

Girl : *smile*
Boss : *dulan*

I don’t know how, i don’t know why, but somehow, the picture above appears to be quite funny to me =D

Your nose haven bleed right? Or you’re already in hospital now? =X

MAS Saya Nak Cuti!

How is your weekend? =D So far i heard some friends won themselves some phones and some RM2.5k  at the Samsung Corby event already where the others were happily out going on with their plans and such. Hehe.

Anyways, just yesterday night, i was at Jaya One attending this MAS Saya Nak Cuti event.

It was held at this lovely place, Brisik Restaurant & Cafe at Jaya One. Jaya One is 1 of the most happening place around since its opening.

Glad to see Jason there then and good food were served that night itself. Just right after a short briefing by the people at MAS, we get the chance to fill our hungry stomach =)

There were 2 competitions on the night itself where some of the people there tried pretty hard to win themselves a trip with MAS.

At the end of the night, Simon Seow and Red Mummy managed to win the trip, you don’t have to know how and why they won, just proceed down and find out how to win such a trip yourself too!

Simon ‘s winning prize!

So yah it’s actually a collaboration between Astro and MAS where they are coming out with a competition for the public to win a trip as well as being host on Astro for your own  trip where it will be aired on Astro!

You’ll get a clearer picture if you go to MASTRAVELLER.COM.

which er i think Aaron need to join this competition. Hehe.

Quite a good way to start a weekend i suppose, with these peeps above! =D

Well Done

Was at 1Utama for Digi Internet Pimp My Day Challenge. Almost the whole day. Running like mad around 1 Utama having me not doing any exercises for like the past 5 months prove to be quite an insane task for me.

However it was the whole team that really rocked my day where i was pretty satisfied with our accomplishments, finishing all the challenges given and managed to do the blog post with all the picture resizing and video editing in time.

Head home with 2 new items made half my day i must say, but of course i’m too tired to have a big smile on my face. I blame it all at the Celebrity Fitness task, gah i need to exercise more.

At the end of the day, i just want to say, WELL DONE!!!

Nigel, Kel Li and Hsu Jen, ROAR ROAR ROAR!!!
*So which team is the grand prize winner? To be announce. They extended the time of announcing it because… You’ll know soon! Haha

Comic Fiesta 2009!

2 weeks back, the same peeps who made Comic Fiesta 2008 a successful event were back organizing Comic Fiesta 2009 at Sunway Convention Centre!

With me having a less superior camera compared to the many DSLR users who was there in the event, i took much lesser pictures compared to last year. Noticed that there’s a change in the floor plan which i think was much more organized this time round.

Saw lots of repeating figurines as well as repeating artworks being displayed there which i still find it pretty magnificent with some new additions to the collections for display.

If only i could own all of them!

About the cosplayers, hmmm i’ve only taken a few pictures then.

It was this dude who admires Cloud of FF7 i suppose bringing his kick ass Buster Sword around that had me taking the first picture of the cosplayers over there then.

Then, i turned around and saw this female maid with her Samurai Sword getting flashes everywhere and that definitely shifted my attention!

please ignore the changes in weapon. =X

Cloud then moved swiftly approaching the Samurai Sword Maid and they started fighting posing for the cameras around…
