and the rest of the pictures i’m going to show next were taken in Pure Club at the Printworks, Manchester – United Kingdom.
“The Printworks is Europe’s first urban entertainment centre opening as part of the milennium project in 2000 and is located in the heart of Exchange Square next to the Arndale Shopping Centre and between Victoria staion and Shudehill Transport interchange”
It was actually back in December 2009 which was just last month(Year) where i won a trip to Manchester to watch Manchester United play against Aston Villa.
I actually told myself that i must go and explore the night scene in Manchester early of 2009 when i first travel there. It was the last night of my December Manchester 2009 trip, the same day Aston Villa beat Manchester United 1-0.
So after asking around, we (me and Ren) found out that before 11pm, it was free entrance where after 11pm we’ll have to pay 6£ each person as entry fees. Well, quite cheap actually!
Then when we were in, we headed to the bar and found out that the drinks are just around 2-3£. Crazily cheap if you are local there!!!

Pure Club is quite big actually, bigger than the clubs in Kuala Lumpur i think. Which scene is more happening, i really have no idea, i guess it depends on who you go with and such. The music in UK were better i thought. =D Oh well, afterall, the music in the clubbing scene here were from the western side.
One thing i must say, the girls here in Kuala Lumpur are definitely “lebih panas”!! =D

On the 21st of November 2009, just after the Everyone Connects event at Bukit Bintang i went over to KL Life Centre for this Music Conference Asia appreciation night event.
It was Jessica who pulled me all the way there then thanks to her haha. Didn’t stay there through out the night though, made a few new friends and saw some regular faces with some that i don’t usually see in clubbing nights.

Oh well i didn’t really take that much picture with other people so yea, was walking aimlessly here and there in the place before the whole thing started with mixed music being played in the background. Got to mingle around and made a few conversation with people i don’t usually chat online.
That was quite about it for me i shall say. Did manage to wait till Mark Schossow came out and hit the deck spinning. Recorded a short video on it as you can view below.
Happening event? I do not know as i went off earlier to meet other people. Heard that quite a lot of the friends met there stayed up the whole night so i suppose it was not bad then. Well do head to the links mentioned above to see what they have to say about this M.C. Asia event then!

You’ve made my day and made me smile, i had fun and i enjoyed myself. Thanks to you Weekend. I love weekend, as always!
Was out with a few people for some food love at Tropicana Mall straight after work on Friday followed by a meet up with Debra Fong then called Andy out for some intimate session with some of the Dota Heroes.
Saturday started in disappointment, double weekend double disappointment by the Yellow Group but still congrats to David for winning a wii there.
Head to Bukit Bintang area after that and managed to witnessed the awesomeness of 雪饮狂刀 and 绝世好剑!! Failed to meet the Storm Riders/Warriors, 步惊云 and 聂风 but managed to spot
these 2 girls above. It was the Gempak Starz event at Sungei Wang.
Was there mainly because of this event/concert that managed to attract lots of people as you can see in the picture above. It was insane i tell you! Raining Still Stand There Wan! Hardcore!!!
Managed to take one picture of a local celebrity Miss Mila. Ha!
The night was spent at KL Life Centre with this M.C Asia event going on. Took quite a few pictures and a video there as well.
I love weekends!! It was awesome i must say. Crazy people at crazy event, i nearly got crazy man! Short to say, it GOOD!! Just that there’s someone who wants to sue me which kinda make the whole weekend not so awesome.
Talking about being approach by 2 CEOs personally on serious matters in 2 months, quite an unique experience!! *laughs*
Will elaborate and talk about the whole matter more soon i hope.

Xpax Blackberry Party @ Republic, Sunway

10 days ago, there was this “happening” Xpax Blackberry Party at Republic, Sunway. It was a party + launch of the first day where Celcom Xpax were selling Blackberry Curve for prepaid users for just RM888.
Yes the promotion was quite attractive and it did attracted quite an amount of people in that venue itself queuing up just to get the Blackberry..
Had myself registered at the counter thanks to Nuffnang i do not need to buy a Blackberry myself to enter the party/VIP zone where there were free booze.
It was rare spotting Nicole herself as she don’t frequent events a lot but anyways i had a picture with her.
With many people who care about getting the Blackberry itself ignoring the awesome performance act by Shawn Lee with his BeatBoxing skills followed by Joe Flizzow himself. Soon enough, i got bored and headed into Republic only to see quite a number of familiar faces.
Simon, Zoe and Vivien are some of them!
If you see it from the view of an event/party, it was pretty sad case i must say. Just refer to the picture below where that was exactly how it was the whole night, with just that handful amount of people walking here and there. Yah walking not dancing.
But of course, if you see it from the other way round, on sales and marketing and such, i think it was quite good. There were quite a lot of people who bought the Blackberry that night and i even know that one dude bought 9 Blackberry, for his colleagues he said.
Putting my view aside on the event, i spent my whole night seeing bloggers snapping pictures repeatingly on different angles, sides and such.
Glad to see WeiWei there and Helen as well! Quite an unexpected meet with Helen because previously i only see her on blogs attending Advertlets events.
Helen is a friend whom i knew ages ago. AGES. Gah i think i need to hang out more with younger ones, just like what Helen is practicing nowadays.
Joshua Wong and Yap Thomas was the rare ones as well. Rare rare ones. Haha.
Well what can i say about this event? Hmm, i’ve already stated what i think and oh about the dude who bought 9 Blackberry whom i’ve mentioned above, he won 2 more in a lucky draw later in the night. Lucky dude.
and oh, i’m jealous of the Top Bloggers who got themselves one Blackberry each to use where they tweeted quite often on Twitter recently stating plus elaborating how awesome it was. Jealous!
Apart from seeing the regular faces around that night exchanging a few words here and there, it was just like any other ordinary night for me then.

Beyonce I Am Pre-Concert Party At Zouk

It was just hours ago that the pre-concert party ended at Zouk Club. An exclusive party just for the ones who bought their tickets to watch Beyonce live in Kuala Lumpur on the 25th of October, this whole party was mainly sponsored by Maxis Hotlink & Guess.
Typical Malaysian timing, the event was like more than 1 hour late. Thanks to Joe, i manage to see myself one of the very first dance flashmob in a night club in Malaysia assume. Do correct me if i’m wrong.
Anyways, i was dead bored with the delays and all, good thing there was free flow plus there were like 6 “Beyonce” walking around before the event officially starts.
The rest of the post, i’ll make it short and bring you to the main point okay?
There was this fashion show by Guess.

A short introduction on the Flash Mob that is going to happen in Beyonce I Am’s concert itself.
Teaching the Celebrities on how to dance the steps that will be used in the Flashmob itself.
and here comes the awesome part of the night!! GO WATCH THE VIDEO BELOW!!! It’s Awesome!
DJ Goldfish was doing his thing putting a mix of songs and all of a sudden when he plays the specific remix of music that’s meant for the flashmob, a bunch of people came out and brought the whole atmosphere one level higher!
Well, for me, the awesome part didn’t end there itself, i got myself RM200 of voucher from Guess and it was totally unexpected!! The prizes that were given out during the night includes stuffs like backstage passes to Beyonce concert on the 25th of Oct 2009, concert tickets to watch Beyonce live in London and of course the Guess vouchers i mentioned above.
So yea, that’s about it. Go Join the flashmob!!

H-Artistry at Quattro Kuala Lumpur with Hsiao Hung Jen, Paul Freeman, Lenka and Boys like Girls

It was the very last Hennessy Artistry event last Friday where it was held at Quattro Club, Kuala Lumpur. With artists like Hsiao Hung Jen 萧闳仁 , Lenka, Paul Freeman and Boys Like Girls performing, i was expecting a good night.
At the same time, having no idea at all why they had it in such a small place like Quattro, i was expecting a sucky crowd environment being sardines and all as well.
Reached the place around 10PM+ and as expected, i found myself in a place that is so hard to even move, Hsiao was just starting to perform then.
Who is Hsiao? An artist from Taiwan who i’m not really familiar with. Many people thought he was pretty sucky though. As for me, i didn’t really pay attention on his singing be cause i was too busy er moving and taking pictures.
The emcees were pretty energetic that night.
Paul Freeman was up next and despite me not knowing who is him, i thought that he was quite good. He even pulled one of the girls from the crowd on stage and she sure enjoyed herself there getting up close with Paul, having hugs and kisses from him as well if i’m not mistaken.
Later on, Paul called Hsiao up on stage and they both performed a song which is quite popular, Better Man.
By this time, i already found my way to the media zone WHICH IS ALOT more spacious!! Thanks to Aaron that i know the existence of that place if not i’ll die lack of oxygen that night.
Lenka was one of the main reason i attended this time’s Hennessy Artistry event. Heard of her songs and loved it even before she came to Malaysia having a showcase a few months earlier. It was awesome seeing her performing live, with her band and all and she called Paul on stage where they both sang a song together.
Of course, the bomb of the night, i must say that its was Boys like Girls.
The moment they came out, the crowd, especially the girls went crazy and ecstatic for them screaming their hearts out raising their hands up. Boys like girls didn’t disappoint us and went on performing some awesome acts with some of their well known songs.
The lead singer of the band, Martin brought the atmosphere one level higher and did a few crazy stuffs. At one point, he went front and was pulled by the crowd and vanished in the crowd.
The next thing i know, he appeared on another side standing up high pointing to the crowd and fell on them. Totally crazy, it seems as like the event was a private concert of Boys like Girls. I thought it was entertaining, till i went back home and found out that some people were hurt and some of my friend’s camera’s were damaged. Well.
The way how the event ended was pretty funny i must say. All the band members of Boys like Girls proceed and get a glass of Hennessy and made a toast to the crowd and the crowd responded in…
YUMMMMMMMMM SENNNNNGGGGGGGG!!
Yes Yum Seng that is. Lol. I was left speechless then.
There you go, the last Hennessy Artistry event of the year 2009 in Malaysia. Thanks to the less crowded Media zone, i get to enjoy the acts in this time’s H-Artistry event and do you know that both Paul Freeman and Lenka brought their own band where Boys like Girls brought their own crew, sound people and such with all their equipments as well. 3 different sets of equipments including the music instruments. CRAZY!
That was why there’s quite a long interval in between the acts where lousy DJ-ing + lousy music mixing were clearly displayed in between the intervals. One of the shaking head moments of the night.
At the end of the day. Good Job to the peeps of Hennessy!! Thanks to both Nuffnang & Hennessy.
