It was the 2nd day we were there, both me and John were deciding on what to have for breakfast. Before that, i asked a friend before &amp; realized that the citizens in Hong Kong don&#8217;t practise having breakfast &amp; dinner is the most important meal of the day.</p>
<p><span id="more-12302"></span></p>
<p>Then again, i found out about this super famous coffee shop-like place in Kowloon 九龍 where they serve the best scrambled eggs and steamed milk pudding! Apparently, this is a MUST-GO place if it&#8217;s your first time in Hong Kong. Upon reaching Jordan Road 佐敦道, we found our way into Parkes St 白加士街 and saw a queue lining up from the entrance of 澳洲牛奶公司 Australia Dairy Company situated in a relatively old building.</p>

<p>It was like 10.30AM in the morning and we waited patiently along the queue. In less than 10 minutes, we managed to get ourselves a place to sit. Here, i must share something with you. If it&#8217;s your first time being in Hong Kong, it&#8217;s a norm for people to share tables in coffee shops especially those older ones which have created a name for themselves along the decades.</p>
<div class="wp-caption alignnone" style="width: 610px"><img title="香港自由行 Hong Kong Trip 2011 – 澳洲牛奶公司 Australia Dairy Company" src="http://i776.photobucket.com/albums/yy41/joshuaongyscom/2011%20Life%20Log/HongKongTrip2011AustraliaDairyCompanyBreakfast13.jpg" alt="Surroundings of 澳洲牛奶公司 Australia Dairy Company" width="600" height="338" /><p class="wp-caption-text">Surroundings of 澳洲牛奶公司 Australia Dairy Company</p></div>
<div class="wp-caption alignnone" style="width: 610px"><img title="香港自由行 Hong Kong Trip 2011 – 澳洲牛奶公司 Australia Dairy Company" src="http://i776.photobucket.com/albums/yy41/joshuaongyscom/2011%20Life%20Log/HongKongTrip2011AustraliaDairyCompanyBreakfast14.jpg" alt="Surroundings of 澳洲牛奶公司 Australia Dairy Company" width="600" height="338" /><p class="wp-caption-text">Surroundings of 澳洲牛奶公司 Australia Dairy Company</p></div>
<div class="wp-caption alignnone" style="width: 610px"><img title="香港自由行 Hong Kong Trip 2011 – 澳洲牛奶公司 Australia Dairy Company" src="http://i776.photobucket.com/albums/yy41/joshuaongyscom/2011%20Life%20Log/HongKongTrip2011AustraliaDairyCompanyBreakfast15.jpg" alt="Surroundings of 澳洲牛奶公司 Australia Dairy Company" width="600" height="338" /><p class="wp-caption-text">Surroundings of 澳洲牛奶公司 Australia Dairy Company</p></div>
<p>Apart from that, you&#8217;re kinda expected to order fast, finish your food/drink fast &amp; pay then leave as soon as possible. This is to accommodate other customers they have waiting outside of the venue. Only applicable to food places which is well known amongst the people living nearby. So yea, we ordered almost immediately after looking at the menu on the wall, with an impatient waiter. Another norm. Lol.</p>
<div class="wp-caption alignnone" style="width: 610px"><img title="香港自由行 Hong Kong Trip 2011 – 澳洲牛奶公司 Australia Dairy Company" src="http://i776.photobucket.com/albums/yy41/joshuaongyscom/2011%20Life%20Log/HongKongTrip2011AustraliaDairyCompanyBreakfast16.jpg" alt="Food menu at 澳洲牛奶公司 Australia Dairy Company" width="600" height="338" /><p class="wp-caption-text">Food menu at 澳洲牛奶公司 Australia Dairy Company</p></div>

<div class="wp-caption alignnone" style="width: 610px"><img title="香港自由行 Hong Kong Trip 2011 – 澳洲牛奶公司 Australia Dairy Company" src="http://i776.photobucket.com/albums/yy41/joshuaongyscom/2011%20Life%20Log/HongKongTrip2011AustraliaDairyCompanyBreakfast10.jpg" alt="Macaroni Soup with Ham Slices 火腿通粉 – 澳洲牛奶公司 Australia Dairy Company" width="600" height="338" /><p class="wp-caption-text">Macaroni Soup with Ham Slices 火腿通粉 - 4/5 at HKD26 or RM13</p></div>
<p>We actually ordered 3 breakfast sets. 1 toasted white bread with fried eggs, 1 toasted white bread with scrambled eggs and macaroni soup with ham slices. I must say that the service here is even faster than fast food chains. The macaroni soup with ham slices was nice, though the broth was slightly salty, the macaroni was cooked perfectly where it&#8217;s not too soft/hard. The dish was heart warming. On the other hand, the toasted bread with friend eggs was just nice as breakfast.</p>
<div class="wp-caption alignnone" style="width: 610px"><img title="香港自由行 Hong Kong Trip 2011 – 澳洲牛奶公司 Australia Dairy Company" src="http://i776.photobucket.com/albums/yy41/joshuaongyscom/2011%20Life%20Log/HongKongTrip2011AustraliaDairyCompanyBreakfast11.jpg" alt=" Toasted White Bread with Scrambled Egg 西煎双蛋 – 澳洲牛奶公司 Australia Dairy Company" width="600" height="338" /><p class="wp-caption-text">Toasted White Bread with Scrambled Egg 西煎双蛋 – 5/5 at HKD26 or RM13</p></div>
<p>What made my day was this - Toasted White Bread with Scrambled Egg The scrambled eggs deserved all the likes possibly and though it looks like any other scrambled eggs you can find on other spots on earth, this specific one is really cooked to perfection. It is a MUST-TRY item and the scrambled eggs served here has high standard where it requires a certain set of skills to get it done &amp; served. No i&#8217;m not exaggerating, try it and you&#8217;ll know what i mean!</p>
<div class="wp-caption alignnone" style="width: 610px"><img title="香港自由行 Hong Kong Trip 2011 – 澳洲牛奶公司 Australia Dairy Company" src="http://i776.photobucket.com/albums/yy41/joshuaongyscom/2011%20Life%20Log/HongKongTrip2011AustraliaDairyCompanyBreakfast8.jpg" alt="Famous Double Steamed Milk Pudding 双皮燉鮮奶 - 澳洲牛奶公司 Australia Dairy Company" width="600" height="338" /><p class="wp-caption-text">Famous Steamed Egg White Milk Pudding 蛋白燉鮮奶 - 5/5 at HKD20 or RM10</p></div>
<p>Last but not least, one of their famous serving - Steamed Egg White Milk Pudding Love this to bits, the smooth texture, the right combination of milk &amp; egg white steamed and the sweetness of it which was just nice, it was super delicious! That makes it 2 MUST-TRY item in 澳洲牛奶公司 Australia Dairy Company!! No wonder this place gained lotsa popularity amongst tourists and people only have positive reviews to share about this place.</p>

<p>Had my last sip of Iced Milk Tea 冻奶茶 before ending my awesome breakfast within 15 minutes with all the delicious food i can get from 澳洲牛奶公司 Australia Dairy Company. Paid the bill and left the place with a big smile on my face. Will definitely visit this place again the next time i visit Hong Kong 香港.</p>

<p>After a walk around 庙街 Temple Street, both me and <a href="http://johnmah.blogspot.com">John</a> came across this dessert shop which had quite a number of customers. The venue itself was full of people where there were people sitting outside of the shop as well.</p>
<p>Without second thoughts, we went in immediately to order our desserts.</p>

<p>The place serves quite a wide range of desserts and the ones on the many tables smells really good. This is what we ordered.</p>
<p><img title="香港自由行 Hong Kong Trip 2011 - 庙街源記喳咋 Temple Street Yuen Kee Dessert" src="http://i776.photobucket.com/albums/yy41/joshuaongyscom/2011%20Life%20Log/HongKongTempleStreetYuenKeeDessert6.jpg" alt="" /></p>

<p>芝麻糊 Black Sesame Paste &#8211; 4/5 at HKD15 or RM7.5</p>
<p>Frankly speaking, the desserts there weren&#8217;t really amazing but it was good enough for us to clear our throats after we went through 3-4 streets back-to-back. The Black sesame paste i had was really &#8216;gao&#8217; and i enjoyed it pretty much. However, the Taro sweet sago John ordered was a bit tasteless in my opinion.</p>

</div><div style="clear:both"></div><div style="padding-bottom:4px;"></div><p>新明記肥牛猪骨煲 San Ming Kee Hot Pot was the place we had our first dinner during the recent trip to Hong Kong. Both me and <a href="http://johnmah.blogspot.com">John Mah</a> were tired after walking through 廟街 Temple Street market. We reached the southern part of the market where we came across this particular restaurant at a corner of a lane in a row of shops.</p>
<p>The whole street was pretty quiet and this specific steamboat restaurant immediately stood out due to the amount of people sitting out of the place having their dinner.</p>

<p>This eating place seems to be quite big amongst the people staying nearby as there was a long waiting list where the both of us have to wait for around 45 minutes till we get our seat. We were the 13th people in line on the waiting list. Insane.</p>
<p><img title="香港自由行 Hong Kong Trip 2011 - 新明記肥牛猪骨煲 San Ming Kee Hot Pot " src="http://i776.photobucket.com/albums/yy41/joshuaongyscom/2011%20Life%20Log/HongKongJordanBatteryStreetSanMengKeeHotPotSteamboat11.jpg" alt="" /><br />
Pork Bones Soup Base &#8211; 5/5 at HKD98 or RM49</p>
<p>The wait was worth it as we had an enjoyable time having one of the best meal in our Hong Kong trip!!!</p>
<p>First we ordered the pork bones soup base - 新明記猪骨煲 from a whole range of choice available. The soup base contains lots of pork bones huge in size with the additional white carrots, carrots, corns with some pepper &amp; assorted vegetables . The longer we boiled the soup, the tastier it gets. It was really delicious to have tasted the soup boiled based on the pork bones, especially when you add in other ingredients ordered. Yummy!</p>
<p>Here are some of the additional dish we ordered. xD</p>
<p><img title="香港自由行 Hong Kong Trip 2011 - 新明記肥牛猪骨煲 San Ming Kee Hot Pot " src="http://i776.photobucket.com/albums/yy41/joshuaongyscom/2011%20Life%20Log/HongKongJordanBatteryStreetSanMengKeeHotPotSteamboat9.jpg" alt="" /><br />
Slices of Beef Meat &#8211; 5/5 at HKD118 or RM59</p>
<p>It was delicious! Depends on how you cooked it yourself but normally it won&#8217;t take you long boiling it in the soup base before you could have a bite on the slices of fresh beef meat. Quite juicy as well. Thumbs up!</p>
<p><img title="香港自由行 Hong Kong Trip 2011 - 新明記肥牛猪骨煲 San Ming Kee Hot Pot " src="http://i776.photobucket.com/albums/yy41/joshuaongyscom/2011%20Life%20Log/HongKongJordanBatteryStreetSanMengKeeHotPotSteamboat12.jpg" alt="" /></p>

Fresh Prawn Dumplings &#8211; 4/5 at HKD32 or RM16</p>
<p>The dumplings were filled with slices of vegetables &amp; fresh prawns that are big in size. At least i know it&#8217;s much bigger than the ones served in Malaysia. Very juicy and tasty i must say, especially when you take it and have a spoon of the soup. Awesomeness!!!</p>
<p><img title="香港自由行 Hong Kong Trip 2011 - 新明記肥牛猪骨煲 San Ming Kee Hot Pot " src="http://i776.photobucket.com/albums/yy41/joshuaongyscom/2011%20Life%20Log/HongKongJordanBatteryStreetSanMengKeeHotPotSteamboat13.jpg" alt="" /><br />
Handmade Black Pepper Beef Meatballs &#8211; 4/5 at HKD35 or RM17</p>
<p>The handmade beef meatballs was quite chewy. The black pepper added to the meatballs brought out the &#8216;kick&#8217; and taste of the beef meat. Recommended!</p>
<p>Apart from that, we also ordered 杂菜 Assorted Vegetables &#8211; 4/5 at HKD20 or RM10 and 2 bottles of beer at HKD35 or RM17</p>
<p><img title="香港自由行 Hong Kong Trip 2011 - 新明記肥牛猪骨煲 San Ming Kee Hot Pot " src="http://i776.photobucket.com/albums/yy41/joshuaongyscom/2011%20Life%20Log/HongKongJordanBatteryStreetSanMengKeeHotPotSteamboat7.jpg" alt="" /></p>
<p><img title="香港自由行 Hong Kong Trip 2011 - 新明記肥牛猪骨煲 San Ming Kee Hot Pot " src="http://i776.photobucket.com/albums/yy41/joshuaongyscom/2011%20Life%20Log/HongKongJordanBatteryStreetSanMengKeeHotPotSteamboat14.jpg" alt="" /></p>
<p>The bill summed up to HKD338 or RM169 with both of us having a very satisfied meal. Wished there were more people with us to try out more food though. A highly recommended dinner place for me, do go and try it yourself if you&#8217;re in Hong Kong!!</p>
<p>Do remember to be at the place by 7PM if you don&#8217;t want to be in the long queue of waiting to be served. A quick search online states that by 7PM-7.30PM, the place will be filled with people, that&#8217;s like 20-30 tables all taken up!</p>

We reached Hong Kong around noon and by the time we sort out our accommodation, we went straight out to hunt for food.</p>
<p>A 2 minute walk out of Chungking Mansion 重庆大厦 at Tsim Sha Tsui 尖沙咀 leads us to this Hong Kong style Restaurant &#8211; 香港仔烧味牛什.

<p>It was a decent eating place with bright lighting. We ordered our meals immediately as we were starving. John Mah ordered Char Siew Roasted Pork Rice 叉烧烧肉饭 and i ordered Char Siew Roasted Duck Rice 叉烧烧鸭饭!!</p>

Char Siew Roasted Pork Rice 叉烧烧肉饭 &#8211; 2/5 at HKD36 or RM18</p>
<p>Though we were extremely hungry, i was kinda disappointed with the Char Siew 叉烧 served at this particular outlet. I expected better ones which taste much nicer but the ones here are hard to chew on and it&#8217;s pretty tasteless. The roasted pork 烧肉 was just so so only. Good thing i had roasted duck 烧鸭 myself which tasted good!</p>
<p><img title="香港自由行 Hong Kong Trip 2011 - Char Siew Roasted Pork Rice 叉烧烧肉饭 and Char Siew Roasted Duck Rice 叉烧烧鸭饭 at 尖沙咀 Tsim Sha Tsui 香港仔烧味牛什.鱼蛋粉面" src="http://i776.photobucket.com/albums/yy41/joshuaongyscom/2011%20Life%20Log/HongKongFoodTsimShaTsuiChaSiewSiewYukDuckRice8.jpg" alt="" /><br />
Fried Carrot Cake 萝卜糕 &#8211; 2/5 at HKD21 or RM10</p>
<p>The Fried Carrot Cake 萝卜糕 was quite tasteless as well. The sauce which came along didn&#8217;t blend well with the dish. So disappointed. There goes my first meal in Hong Kong.</p>
<p><img title="香港自由行 Hong Kong Trip 2011 - Char Siew Roasted Pork Rice 叉烧烧肉饭 and Char Siew Roasted Duck Rice 叉烧烧鸭饭 at 尖沙咀 Tsim Sha Tsui 香港仔烧味牛什.鱼蛋粉面" src="http://i776.photobucket.com/albums/yy41/joshuaongyscom/2011%20Life%20Log/HongKongFoodTsimShaTsuiChaSiewSiewYukDuckRice7.jpg" alt="" /><br />
Cold Milk Tea 冻奶茶 &#8211; 2/5 at HKD8 or RM4</p>
<p>Cold Milk Tea was the only thing which made me happy at the end of the meal.</p>
<p><img title="香港自由行 Hong Kong Trip 2011 - Char Siew Roasted Pork Rice 叉烧烧肉饭 and Char Siew Roasted Duck Rice 叉烧烧鸭饭 at 尖沙咀 Tsim Sha Tsui 香港仔烧味牛什.鱼蛋粉面" src="http://i776.photobucket.com/albums/yy41/joshuaongyscom/2011%20Life%20Log/HongKongFoodTsimShaTsuiChaSiewSiewYukDuckRice10.jpg" alt="" /></p>
<p>Came back and found out that this 香港仔烧味牛什. Tsim Sha Tsui has quite a number of negative reviews. Too bad we didn&#8217;t do our research before we went to Hong Kong.</p>
<p>The bill came up to HKD109 which is around RM55. Oh well. Do not visit this place if you happen to be around the area hunting for food. Boo.</p>
