You know what’s EPIC? Having a Gangnam Style wedding & getting it all shot & edited in a music video!

Yes you can ask your hengdais and jimuis to go along the flow and be featured in a Gangnam Style wedding video with you where they should be sporting enough to do so for your big day but for you to get a few elders (2:17) to do the dance where they were having fun during the session was pure awesomeness.

Then, you do it in the church (2:25) AND in your dinner session as well (2:36). Freaking EPIC I must say. In fact, the word EPIC is an understatement for this couple’s Gangnam Style wedding.

Totally FUN & crazy wedding, must be a memorable one – for the couple and everyone involved!

By the way, Congratulations to Stephani Nguyen and Jeremy Ueno as they were officially husband and wife on the 2nd of September.

I was smiling BIG BIG after finishing the video. Such a fun & joyful wedding. Aha!

This is not the first time that a girl who used to be in the adult entertainment industry attempts in changing her own image by staying away from the past embracing the future with different elements and exposure so the public could except them differently.

Aoi Sola 苍井空 has been working quite hard to be accepted in the Asia Entertainment Industry through music, talk shows & even social media. Recently, a batch of pictures were released featuring Aoi Sola in a short film that was scheduled to be released on the 28th of March 2012.

The images featured Aoi Sola in 2 different fashion styles. In one scene, she was in this CheongSam were she was playing this graceful singer with a beautiful elegant image presented in front of an audience. In another scene, she happened to be in Tokyo on the streets with this deep look in her eyes.

Looking at the behind the scenes the video, it seems like this is quite a huge production with 15 days of shooting in 2 different countries.

Not sure what’s the purpose of this short film and what is it all about. Will talk about it when i watch it 2 days later. =)

Fuju Television has announced that they will be wroking with filmmaker & producer Ridley Scott to record and share a single day of life in Japan. Inspired by Kevin Macdonald’s Life in a day, this project is dedicated to the victims of the earthquake/tsunami that happened in March 2011.

Fuji Television is requesting for contributions from anyone in Japan to record a video about their life on March 11th, 2012. Videos will be uploaded to a special YouTube “Japan in a Day” website. The best entries, judged by the filmmakers, will be selected from the submitted videos to complete an all-new original movie.

So yeah, I repeat, those who’ll be in Japan on the 11th of March 2012 are welcomed to capture anything on that day itself and submit their videos to YouTube.com/JapaninaDay.

Additionally, Fuji TV will donate 200 cameras to those in the stricken areas. Footage gathered from these cameras as well as Fuji TV’s coverage of the day will also be submitted for selection. The movie will be premiered on the big screen, and Fuji TV plans to donate its profits to victims in the affected areas.

Ridley Scott said: “The ‘Life in a Day’ format that we launched in 2010 was created to offer people around the world the opportunity to become part of a global experiment in filmmaking. By capturing their stories, secrets and wishes, we were able to build a movie-sized snapshot of what it’s like to live on Earth today. ‘Japan in a Day’ is offering us just that, but instead a concentrated insight into the daily lives, hopes, fears and dreams of the Japanese people. We’re excited to see the results and wish Fuji every success in building its own big screen love letter to Japan.”

A 7 minutes short film that was released around Valentine’s Day has quickly become a hit amongst Chinese netizens. Within a week, the total views for the short film (Counting all videos including reuploads on both youku & tudou) has reached 1 Million hits.

The 7 minutes short film talks about a couple who’s in a 4 years relationship. They lived in the same place, walked on the same road and eventually, they don’t have the spark between them. The silent break up had them recalling memories between them. However, a disconnection in an online game restores the relationship where they found love again.

The short film is actually an advertisement created by a China MMORPG game – 倩女幽魂 Online which was launched 3 years ago in 2009. I would say that this short film was done nicely where they cleverly insert related parts of the games & it blend nicely into the whole storyline with not too much of hard sell.

In fact, if i’m living in China, i would probably be a new player right after watching this short film.

Some facts :
-倩女幽魂 Online is a gaming product of 网易 NetEase & NetEase is one of the big four internet companies in China – Sina 新浪网, Sohu 搜狐网, TenCent 腾讯网.
-In May 2011, NetEase had 77 set of servers running in support of the game 倩女幽魂 Online. It is estimated that the total gamers playing at a given time might reach 600,000.
-倩女幽魂 Online was voted game of the year for 2011 from a survey which consists of 1.2 Million gamers.

Elva 萧亚轩 is one of the few Taiwan female solo singer who can survived the highly competitive entertainment industry with more than 10 years of experience as a singer. As a matter of fact, she has quite a few number of songs which i enjoyed listening to.

Anyway, on the 23rd of December 2011, her 12th album [ I'm Ready 我愛我 ] was released & i just found out recently through an episode of Kang Xi 康熙來了 that a series of short films were produced to aligned with the marketing campaign of the album itself.

With the title 100分的吻 – Kiss of 100%, 4 episodes were produced where each episodes of short film are around 16 minutes. The whole story basically talks about a girl – Elva who fell in love various times & failed in finding Mr Right who holds the key to the ‘Kiss of 100%’.

Focusing on 4 different relationships in each episodes, the aim of the short film is to let everyone reflect on themselves and think back about the values in a relationship

In the 1st episode, Elva fell in love in a guy who was much younger than her only to find herself being the 3rd party after one night stand sessions.

In the 2nd episode, Elva found a matured guy who is 20 years elder than her only to find that the age gap is too much to fill in.

Elva bumped into her long lost friend in the 3rd episode where they met a fortune teller who gave some advice to Elva.

In the last episode, Elva met this dude who is around her age but at the end of the day, he’s just another guy who disappoints her.

I just finish watching all the episodes just yesterday and thought that the story was quite simple to digest where it features different songs from her latest album from time to time. The last episode ended in a really bad way and i thought it could be done better. Millions were spent into producing these short films and i was expecting better stuffs. Anyhow, base on the fact that the main male cast in the 4th episode was ACTUALLY Elva Hsiao’s ex-boyfriend in real life, i guessed that is one GOOD selling point which had the whole series ended on a higher note.

The series was broadcasted online with exclusive collaborative rights to 土豆网 Tudou.com. There are 10 videos being uploaded on the online video platform where the first video was uploaded 1 month ago. The short film series 100分的吻 is still on the Top 10 playing list yesterday with 14,8 Million Views in total. Statistics on re-uploads on Tudou, YouKu, YouTube is not counted yet.

The only thing i’m interested now is what’s the number of sales for her latest album. Is the sales figure good?

Anyway, things are gonna’ get more interesting this year. Lots of Asian singers are uploading high definition music video on to online music platforms where fans could access the media for free, apart from that, various campaigns are planned to align with the promotion of the album which includes stuffs like this – a series of short films created. THIS, is something that recording labels won’t do last time, not in Asia at least.

The competition is getting tougher indeed. Good to see more good stuff comin’ up! Oh yeah, all 4 episodes, do enjoy them below. =)

I don’t know is it just me but i kinda feel that recently, more and more companies are going on the path to produce a short film with a theme (usually love) to promote their products rather than just a 10-30 seconds short advertisment.

3 weeks ago, this short film was uploaded on Youku and now the video has 2.6Million views in counting. The video was also reuploaded to Tudou where there are more than 300k views in total from 40+ re-uploads. This particular short film talks about a girl who lost her memories and there were flash backs from time to time where she slowly gained back memories of her being with this particular stranger she met in a coffee shop.

Video done by Simple Man Studio 简单人工作室 for China Citic Bank 中信银行, this is a really good short film with good cast, nice sound & music, smooth editing and of course, the awesome short story line. Do enjoy watching the short film.

The main actor in the short film is Tiger 何松虎 & the main actress is Fei Yang 张菲洋. Not really famous individuals in China. Yet.

Well guess what? They are husband and wife in real life. =)

The news got out end of last week and there were quite a buzz around already. Was surprised when i attended a wedding dinner last saturday only to overheard some people talking about them coming by Kuala Lumpur next month & i thought to myself : “Wow the news spread REALLY fast!”.
