Just came back from Bangsar World Cup Street Party and i’m really tired at the moment. No am not gonna do this anymore torturing my legs and putting myself in sweat & etc.

Waiting for 40+ minutes is something crazy for me and i am crazy enough to do it but soon we left the scene heading to a nearby mamak giving up on the line and the organizers of this event.
Good thing we managed to get in soon after that a big thanks to David Wong who got us in. Oh by the way, us = Me, Nicholas Gan, Michelle and Cindy Tey.

Oh on the match itself. DID YOU NOTICE HOW MANY CARDS THEY WERE? It isn’t funny at all you know, with those time wasted pausing the game with cards given and warnings after warnings. Apart from those foul moments, the torturing 90 minutes game without a goal is really pretty hard to accept in the middle of the night.

Especially when there were a couple of genuine opportunities being wasted by both sides!! Both the teams weren’t playing top class football, there were just…. kicking balls…. and boots and legs and even chest!
Thank God it didn’t went on to the penalty shoot out!! I would be dead by then, with my numb legs and a sweaty body.

Andres INIESTA was the sole goalscorer of the match who scored the winning goal at the 117′ Minutes at extra time. Not a spectacular magical goal, but it was well taken, the rest of the story? Well you could find it all over the internet, major newspaper reports/articles and etc.

I’m just happy for Spain especially for Casillas the captain of Spain whom i really think is the top goalkeeper at the moment. Despite being the number 1 team in the world as well as the most expensive team in the World Cup 2010 tournament, Spain have not really been the favorite when compared to the likes of Germany, Brazil and Argentina.
but they made it and finally got their hands on their first ever World Cup title with a very talented team!

Did i mention that the girl in this picture above won herself a Lotus Elise in the Bangsar World Cup Street Party a few hours ago? She must be the happiest Malaysian on earth today!!
and seriously, if you Holland fans think that Spain played dirty, then you can really “Go Holland” okay? The amount of cards being “awarded” to the Holland players is amazing!
and one thing…

The Referee is always correct!!

I’m so happy now i don’t need to hear the annoying Vuvuzelas anymore and yea, all hail Spain and most importantly,
ALL HAIL PAUL THE OCTOPUS!!!
Meeting Gillian Chung 钟欣桐 in Person!
Jul 9th

Never did i imagine that i could meet her in person. Gillian Chung 钟欣桐 the Hong Kong singer/actress was in Kuala Lumpur yesterday to promote on her latest film 出水芙蓉 The Fantastic Water Babes and yes i get to see her personally all thanks to GSC Cinemas!

A private meet the fans session was held at Berjaya Times Square hotel Swimming Pool area where i actually went into stoning state when i was there side by side with Gillian Chung 钟欣桐.
Gillian : 今晚有睇没? (Are you watching the movie tonight?)
Me : 有! (Yes!)
Gillian : 会叫朋友睇没? (Are you gonna ask you friend along?)
Me : 会! (Yes!)

Yes i can proudly tell the whole world i have exchange conversation with Gillian Chung of TWINS!!
WHAT? Let me “Syiok Sendiri” lah!!
and i actually hoped that the session could be longer but well, i guess i’m more than satisfy being able to see her face to face then. =)

The private session ended quite fast where there’s another meet the fans session where it is open to public. Just right out of the main entrance of Berjaya Times Square Shopping Complex.

Attended the movie premiere later on and i’ll reserve my comments on the movie for another post so, yea. At the mean time, watch the video at the start of this post okay?

and if you did watch the video above you’ll realize i was recording the scene where Gillian Chung 钟欣桐 was distributing some prize for the winners in some mini game session during the private meet with fans…
Then, there was this lucky draw and the number 88 was called out.

I guess that pretty much explains this picture above right? <3

Diego Maradona the highlight of World Cup 2010
Jul 5th

Do you know that the most searched player on Google for the whole duration of World Cup 2010 is Christiano Ronaldo? Yes the Portugal, ex Manchester United, current Real Madrid star player who can’t perform up to standard and is already out of the tournament.
There have been a couple of interesting topics, debates or discussions going around on this tournament. That includes the awesomeness of Adidas Jabulani Ball and Vuvuzelas roaming the stadiums.
The oh so RIGHT, i mean WRITE the Future ad by Nike featuring stars that can’t write a successful future in the World Cup 2010.
The strip naked promises by Paraguay model Larissa Riquelme and Maradona as well.
Anyways, as for me, the main highlight of this year’s World Cup has got to be Diego Maradona the man.
He’s one heck of a man in soccer world. His history as a World Cup winner back then. Defying the critics and bringing the Argentina team into the quarter finals. His various random show off during the matches.
Well i guess i don’t have to say more about him right? Those who agree with me will know what i mean.
If you can’t watch the video above due to the stupid block by FIFA. Below are some other links on the same video :

Watching the video above makes me sad but hey that’s the real world, there’re wins and losses and now that Argentina is out of the World Cup, i’ll just watch the rest of the matches for the fun of it then.
Maradona’s Free Kick with Jabulani Ball
Maradona take on Jabulani Ball
Maradona have done a great job. Just that Germany was a better team.
*oh yah, 18 hours ago Christiano Ronaldo announced that he’s got a baby boy. Wow.
My 1Malaysia Story
Jul 2nd
Time definitely flies and many things are happening in a very fast pace leaving me in a state where i have to accept quite a number of facts before i could fully digest it all.
Luckily, things have been rather smooth as it seems through out my life that I’ve been around here for more than 2 decades already.
Studying for more than 10 years until now that I came out stepping into the working world, there have been ups and downs every now and then, but I can still remember how I was brought up in back then in school where we were introduced to this vision 2020.
Present. Growing up in the heart of the city Kuala Lumpur, you couldn’t really shout out loud telling the whole world that Malaysia is the most awesome country ever. There’re all sorts of local news being reported each day.
The fact that Malaysia still has quite a large space to improve in the next coming years is made clear through various voices by fellow Malaysians.
Our very own National Day is approaching and i’ve actually done a short clip, one video that shows what i’ve seen through the people of Malaysia, not all, but some, a group of Malaysians that are willing to spend their time getting together and doing the same thing.
Be it for the fun of it or to make more friends, though it may seems stupid and meaningless to some people out there, I personally saw unity amongst the younger generation of Malaysians. (NO i’m not that old!) The willingness to put aside our own priorities to put the puzzles together.
We’re all strangers at first, from different background, barely knowing each other, and it all started off from there.
The many random stuffs we did, the laughter we shared, the cohesiveness between each other where we refer each other as MALAYSIANS, not Malays, Chinese or Indians.
Malaysia is for sure a place where lots of people would love calling it as home and be proud of it. Not to mention the fusion of different kinds of food that is available here in our land!
HOPE? There’s definitely a light at the end of the road. That’s what i believe in.
I love my country Malaysia. =)
Would really hope that you could go through the video below.
World Cup 2010 – Well Done, Japan!
Jun 30th

Seriously, i really feel like crying. It’s been quite a while since i felt so watching a soccer match. It was just saddening. YES i have to admit i didn’t support Japan from the start and supported South Korea instead and Japan really surprise me with their achievement thus far.

Being the sole Asian team still in the tournament 3 hours ago, i have this self conscious in me supporting Japan all the way then despite the odds going against them in the match earlier with Paraguay.

The Japan team didn’t disappoint the world and their supporters which i’m sure the people out there would agree with me on this. Sitting at the mamak stall near my house, when the penalty shoot out came in, i was freaking nervous and the whole atmosphere was beyond description.

Even up till now, i feel so sad for them. Japan played well and did a great job against Paraguay. They just didn’t have lady luck on their side that is i guess.
At the end of the day, i’m very proud of them. Being an Asian myself, hands down legs down head down and everything else, they have gained my respect.
Compare to a team i’ve supported since the start of the tournament, the so called “3 Lions“, Japan have been a much more convincing side and they can certainly hold their heads up high with pride exiting the stadium.
JAPAN, Well Done
You made us Asians Proud.
Till then, World Cup 2014 that is.
*I’m so emo now… =(
World Cup 2010 – Asian Power with Japan & South Korea!
Jun 25th

Was sleeping soundly on bed when this match was in progress last night. Woke up checking Livescore in disbelief but had a smile on my face. Never did i think that Japan could win scoring 3 goals against Denmark. I mean like, Denmark and Japan have both the kind of strength and quality to win in that match, but the most i predicted was 1-0 or 2-0 by either one side, maybe perhaps a draw of 1-1, NOT 3-1!

Keisuke Honda of Japan scoring the opening goal with a free kick against Denmark.

Japan’s Number 7 Yasuhito Endo scoring the second goal againts Denmark. 2 Goals from 2 free kicks.
The added points in Japan’s winning game sending them to the knockout stage is 2 out of 3 goals scored were directly from free kicks! No other teams did the same thing in this funny happening tournament thus far, a lot of players are blaming the official matchball, the Adidas Jabulani ball where some of them have problems getting the ball behind the net.
So, i didn’t watch the match, but i’m actually writing this whole post out with pictures and all. Why?

Denmark Goalkeeper Thomas Sorensen failes to stop a direct free kick from Keisuke Honda.

Keisuke Honda of Japan scores direct from a free kick during the match against Denmark.
I’m just happy with the fact that Japan went through this round going into the knockout stage joining South Korea as the second Asian force in the World Cup tournament. It is just the 2nd time this happen where 2 Asian countries manage to go into the top 16 of a World Cup tournament.

It was 8 years ago the last time this happened, that time round it was South Korea & Japan hosting the World Cup 2002 tournament. So watching them going in this time in a foreign country had me being excited!!
I’m proud being an Asian!
Watch the match Denmark 1-3 Japan Highlights here.
*I just found out that the soccer league in Japan – (J-League) uses the World Cup official match ball Jabulani, perhaps that will explain the 2 impressive free kick goals!

真有他的! 非常认同这里的每字每句, 每天都要因为这些事情而烦恼, 有时真的觉的很辛苦. 希望这一切的辛苦都是值得的吧…
