I don’t know is it just me but I don’t feel excited at all with Antonio Valencia being the latest player to own the number 7 at Old Trafford/Manchester United.

Antonio Valencia will wear the iconic no.7 shirt for Manchester United in 2012/13.

ManUtd.com can also reveal that summer signings Nick Powell and Shinji Kagawa will wear no.25 and no.26 respectively.

Ecuador winger Valencia requested the no.7 shirt – worn previously by United legends such as George Best, Bryan Robson, Eric Cantona, David Beckham and Cristiano Ronaldo – following Michael Owen’s departure this summer.

It was good to watch a Manchester United game. What made it better was the news of Paul Scholes coming out of retirement rejoining the team and it was his first match in the FA Cup clash just yesterday night.

Paul Scholes made a whirlwind return to the Manchester United side after re-signing until the end of the season. The former England midfielder pulled on his boots an hour into United’s 3-2 win over bitter rivals Manchester City. Scholes retired from football at the end of last season and had taken up a coaching role with the reserve side at Old Trafford.

Scholes said: ‘I’ve been pretty clear since I stopped playing that I miss it.
‘I’m delighted the manager feels I can still make a contribution to the team and I’m looking forward to playing my part in trying to bring more success to this great club.’
Wayne Rooney claimed the United players did not know about the situation until they got into the dressing room before the game.
‘It was a bit of a shock to be honest, we didn’t know until we were in the dressing room, but he’s a great player,’ he said.
United boss Sir Alex Ferguson told ITV: ‘He came to see me and said he wanted to come back, he was missing it too much.

As Ashley Young now wears Scholes’ old No 18 shirt, the 37-year-old has been handed the No 22 jersey.

Well, Paul Scholes wore the number 22 jersey when he first joined Manchester United so it kinda suit him now that he rejoins the team. =)

Everyone knows that he can’t possibly possess that much attacking power compared to when he was at his peak firing his way from midfield with some stunning rocket shot, but i’m sure he still has it, adding it with his experience on the field, he’ll still be dangerous at times.

I’m just glad that he’s back. =)

It was an early game in Anfield with Manchester United being the visiting team. The sun was high up and it was amazing to see Ryan Giggs playing the whole game in 90 minutes. 1-1 was a fair result with both sides playing equally well if you ask me.

Though Chicharito scored the vital goal at the 81st minute of the game, credits should go to David DeGea for being the man of the day with quite a number of fantastic saves!!

I wonder why Ferguson didn’t send Rooney and Nani down the field at half time. They could have lead the team to a winning match. T_T

Too bad Chicharito cancelled out the so called Captain Marvel’s goal with an equalizer. Both goals happened in the 2nd half in a fast paced 90 minutes match. Both teams were playing pretty fast but the first half was a bit dull with less chances produced.

Manchester United was looking to be on the track of getting their 3rd draw in 1 week having scorelines of 1-1 against Stoke City the previous weekend and 3-3 against Basel during midweek Champions League clash.

Good thing they emerged victorious a few hours earlier at home grounds Old Trafford with Norwich City being the visiting team.

Both Anderson and Welbeck scored a goal each to lead Manchester United to a valuable win. An unimpressive win that was with quite a quality display by Norwich City as an away team. Wayne Rooney looked like  a joke with his failed attempts in scoring. Hope he take his chances seriously in upcoming matches as we need every goal we can to be on top of the league. Manchester City is chasing closely behind. Oh by the way…

It’s a collaboration with Manchester United Football Club from UK. if i’m not mistaken, this should be the first official advertisement from TM X Manchester United since TM became the ‘Official Integrated Telecommunications partner of Manchester United in Malaysia‘.

This short 1 minute version of the ad features Ramli, a boy who dreams big since young and he eventually made it to the top by being the 1st Malaysian to play in the Manchester United jersey number 19. As a ManUtd fan, i really liked this ad! Though it seems like a far dream to achieve for a Malaysian to play for a prestige club such as Manchester United, but hey, who say we can’t dream BIG? =)

Several Manchester United players were involved in the shoot which includes Luis Nani, Chris Smalling, Anderson, Johnny Evans. Sir Bobby Charlton made an appearance as well.

A winning game that doesn’t gives you the winning feel. That was the match which ended at 3-1 with Manchester United snatching 3 points at Old Trafford in front of 70,000+ home fans. Pretty entertaining i must say with tons of funny misses.

Both Rooney and Torres should have gotten themselves a hat-trick. Of course, Chelsea was the bigger joker of the day with a few open goal misses.

Yet another convincing win by Manchester United thrashing 5 goals pass Bolton’s defense in this weekend’s EPL matchup. Sad for the home fans of Bolton at Reebook Stadium an i wished i was there in the away fans area to cheer for ManUtd! What a superb display!!

Especially the unstoppable form displayed by Manchester United top man Wayne Rooney who scored a hat-trick. Wayne Rooney becomes the 4th player in English Premier League history to score consecutive hat tricks after Les Ferdinand, Ian Wright and Didier Drogba.

Good job to Chicharito too for netting in 2 goals in the match!

That being said, Manchester united have scored 18 goals in their opening 4 matches – most by a club at this stage of a top flight season in 64 years

The only thing missing so far is the legendary numebr 7 jersey roaming around the field. It’s time the jersey should be passed on to another person since Owen can’t really break through into the first team. A num7 Manchester United player who don’t play regular football is just weird. Well.
