2012 was pretty good. Don’t really think that it was awesomely superb but I’m grateful for all the happenings in the past 12 months be it positive or negative ones. Am sure I gained quite a lot of stuff in 2012.

Of all months, December was the craziest month for me. Highlights of December 2012 – met up with some awesome people at events, went through a newbie experience to go on the field to capture some pictures of Harimau Malaya, witnessed 2 couples going through one of their most important stages in life, left KL for a while on a scheduled trip, had a simple birthday celebration, Christmas Day celebration and spending the last few days of 2012 with my love. It was a good month, one month I enjoyed really much.

At the end of the day, I thank God for everything and I’m grateful that I have so many wonderful people around me with awesome happenings along the path. Really enjoyed every bit of 2012 especially during the time spent with her.

2013 will DEFINITELY be a better year!

Thanks to the girls from Hong Kong, I don’t need to be too worried on where to go when I was in Macau earlier this year. After the random brunch session with Joyce, HiuYan and Peng Yee, we took a cab and head to the other side of Macau 澳門. Our first stop was the Macau Senate Square 澳门广场. By the time we reached there, it was around 2PM.

Before this, I’ve only heard of Macau 澳門 in TVB dramas but never really take the effort in finding out what’s awesome there. It turns out that the country which is famous for its casinos is also famous for a number of heritage sites. Well the Macau Senate Square 澳门广场 was built with a taste of ancient architecture and it is often a gathering point for tourists groups due to its spacious factor.

Upon reaching the place, I’m quite excited to see the amount of people there – mostly tourists like me myself who can’t wait to explore the surroundings. Walking into the smaller streets and pathways brought me and my friends to this beautiful Catholic church.

Didn’t really spent much time in the church and headed out and made a turning into a long stretch of road with tons of shops on both sides with stuffs dedicated to tourists. Most of the shops were selling cookies/biscuits and dried meat. YES dried meat everywhere!! The best part of this whole stretch of street is every single shop offers you a taste of their offering and I took slices of dried meat here and bits of cookies there.

The almond cookies there = AWESOME.

So yeah, soon we were pretty thirsty after treating ourselves to endless of tasting session along the street and we got ourselves some drinks! Not to mention, the weather on that day itself was quite hot, I was partially sweating.

At the end of the road, I found myself at the Ruins of St. Paul’s Cathedral 大三巴牌坊. The Cathedral was built from 1582 to 1602 and it is one of the largest Catholic churches in Asia at the time and was enlisted as UNESCO World Heritage Site Historic Centre of Macau in 2005. The Ruins of St. Paul’s Cathedral is now one of the most famous landmarks in Macau 澳門.

We stayed there for quite a while and I took loads of pictures. Even went up to the second level of the ruins to get this picture shown above. It was quite a view from the heritage site. Decided to leave the place and move to the Monte Fortress Garden 炮台花园 which was located just beside the ruins. Yes, everywhere is connected, awesome!

Went up Mount Hill and found myself surrounded by canons left right front and back. NICE. The fort was strategically located in the centre of the Macau Peninsula, watching over the city in all directions and it was once the principal military defensive structure in Macau. Yet another tourist attraction now which is a heritage site for the people in Macau itself.

The venues mentioned above – that was 2 hours plus well spent with quite an amount of walking under the hot sun! Below are some extra pictures before the end of this post.

Continuing from my last post on my first day at Macau 澳門 earlier this year, here’s a short post on my first meal on the second day. Prior to this trip, I actually contacted 2 friends from Hong Kong – Joyce & HiuYan to plan a meet up in Macau itself. Also asked another friend – Peng Yee who’s working in China to drop by on the same day itself.

So on the morning of my 2nd day at Macau, I met up with 3 friends and the four of us headed to this 誠昌飯店 Seng Cheong Restaurant at Macau which was quite famous for its Crab Porridge 水蟹粥! The branch was located at Guan Ye Street 官也街, Taipa 路氹, Macau 澳門.

Having a hot bowl of porridge in the morning with a few friends in a foreign land is something I really enjoy doing thus I had fun during the session. Shortly after the meal, we weren’t really full, so we ended up having Portuguese tarts and Porkchop bun at a random shop along the street. It was AWESOME.

JLO Dance Again World Tour Live In Malaysia 2012 that was held earlier this month at Stadium Merdeka was awesome! Though the mood was quite down before the concert due to the rain that came pouring, it was great to watch her performing live all thanks to Celcom XPAX!

Was deciding whether to drive to the stadium or park somewhere near a monorail station and talk the train there on the day itself. Made a last minute decision to go with the monorail as it started to rain and good thing me and my friend decided so, we skipped the jam and reached around 7pm meeting up strong crowd lining out of the stadium under the rain.

Anyway we (both me and my friend) met up with a few familar faces before heading into the stadium to be seated in the area where there’s a roof above us. Good thing I was not on the field – I thought to myself. The rain shows no signs of stopping even after Jennifer Lopez came up on stage at 9PM, one hour later than the scheduled time of the concert.

However, the atmosphere totally change when the 43 years old international superstar stood out in a gliterring suit with her bunch of dancers rocking the stage. Tracks from her earlier days such as Love Don’t Cost A Thing, Jenny From The Block and Waiting For Tonight were performed. Those were the songs I prefered more actually compare to her recent club hits.

There was one part when her boyfriend was on stage dancing with her, quite hot I must say!

Anyway, the climax of the concert was definitely when she performed On The Floor. The rain had already stopped by then and everyone was jumping to the tunes. Shortly after the performance, Jennifer Lopez went off the stage leaving the crowd screaming encore.

For me, I’ve already expected that she will be back on stage again as the song Dance Again wasn’t out yet and that was indeed the last song she performed on stage before wrapping up the Malaysia version of Dance Again World Tour.

I enjoyed quite a lot that night watching Jennifer Lopez showing no signs of stopping in her career by dancing and singing off her heart on stage. It was amazing, thanks to Celcom XPAX for the experience!

Awesome night it was. Avicii’s setlist was good and he exceeded my expectations! Reached pretty late last night at Heineken Thirst 2012 which was around 11pm but I had lotsa fun rockin’ to the tunes with a few familiar faces.

YES it was an epic experience….. Okay I’m too lazy to talk about the details. Up next, pictures!!

What a night. A fun one indeed. Attended an exclusive event organized by Media Prima to showcase the programme highlights in 2013. Ended up focusing on food and drinks as well as taking picture with 3 celebrities (陈敏之 Sharon Chan, 敖嘉年 Pierre Ngo and 徐子珊 Kate Tsui) from TVB.

Hong Kong cantopop singer Eason Chan 陳奕迅 was in TARC 2 days ago for his one & only meet the fans session to promote his latest album [...3mm]. The session which was presented by Tune Talk mobile was held in TAR College Sports Complex at 8PM and I am glad that I made it to the session in time to catch the entertaining session with Eason himself!!

Before Eason made his way up on stage, there were two performances by the students of TARC. Despite the rain which happened earlier before the event, tons of fans appeared in support of their idol from Hong Kong – Eason Chan. The fans were delighted when he finally took the stage at around 9PM.

Eason Chan who never really cared on how the public thinks about him show everyone the fun & crappy side of him which was really entertaining. Throughout the talking/blowing water session with MyFM DJ – Royce, there were multiple hilarious sights of Eason from him doing funny faces to stupid gestures and I guessed the random version of Eason did the magic which causes everyone to laugh loudly in the complex.

Four lucky fans were picked from the crowd where they get to play a simple guessing game with Eason and again, the award winning singer displayed quite a number of funny moments with his own sense of humor and I was amused from the start till the end.

Eason performed one song 完 from his latest album and was requested to perform again after that where he sang an impromptu A cappella version of 夕阳无限好 after that with the fans waving to the song. Too bad the hall was fully lighted on, if not the sight of the fans waving with their shining albums will be an awesome one.

The album signing session was the last item on the schedule for the night and hundreds of fans were seen lining up patiently to meet Eason in person as well as getting his signature. As for me, I’m glad I get to meet some old friends!! Great entertaining session by Eason, can’t wait to watch his concert soon, that’s if he’s gonna’ be coming to KL for that!

Oh by the way, the picture above shows Eason demonstrating on how Tony Leung Chiu-Wai 梁朝偉 take pictures with his fans and the picture below shows something that Eason won’t do in real life which is camwhoring. One of the many highlighted moments during the session. Funny much, to those who missed this session, TOO BAD!!

September 2012 is a crazy month. Attended 3 weddings back to back in 3 out of 5 weekends. Yes my wallet has been bleeding but hey I had a good time witnessing friends going into their next phase in life, all the smiles you see hanging on the couples’ faces – you’ll feel happy for them!

In this post itself, I’m gonna’ highlight the wedding I attended just yesterday. It was the wedding of Nigel Sia & Kel Li. These 2 individuals are 2 very special people to me personally. They both are the first few friends I made through blogging back in 2008 where everyone in Malaysia were starting to jump onto the blogging bandwagon. Anyway, we got close together and shared quite a number of awesome moments through out the years.

So, to witnessed them going from friends to couple to being engaged and now getting married officially as Mr & Mrs Sia – it was quite a joyous moment for me, I was really happy for them. Brought the girlfriend along to attend this wedding as they both know her. Well me and my gf both agreed that the occasion was a memorable & sweet one, we were discussing how nice and simple the wedding was when I was driving back home.

It is actually the first time I’ve attended a wedding like this where it was very intimate and personal, they only invited close friends and relatives and I really liked every single bit of it from evening all the way till night. Compared to the past weddings I’ve attended where everyone would be sitting around a table waiting for food to be served, I think I preferred this buffet style dinner at Hotel Maya’s Sky Lounge at Nigel & Kel Li’s wedding.

What made the whole wedding more memorable was that it gave me a strong impression. When Nigel & Kel Li exchanged their vows, it was really sweet. When the speeches were shared out with everyone, it touched me. Okay, I really don’t know how to describe it through words but it was yeah, memorable. Of course, the food & drinks were great as well. End of the day, I’m more than happy to be there to witness both Nigel & Kel Li going into the next stage of their lives starting their marriage life.

Again, again & again – my deepest CONGRATULATIONS to both Nigel Sia & Kel Li, now Mr & Mrs Sia. May the both of you get all the happiness in the world.

Last Friday, I attended the media launch of [adiPure 360 by Adidas] – a training shoe that was designed for all gym goers. Had fun catching up with some old friends as well as checking out the new training shoes released by Adidas at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur

The event started off with a brief introduction on the shoe which was created to allow one’s feet to move as natural as possible getting out the most of a workout routine. It was made to make muscles work harder during exercises.

Using super light and flexible materials, the adiPure 360 is able to support multi-directional movement with the anatomically designed shoe providing comfort throughout each stretch in your daily exercise activities. It is designed primarily for the gym.

Later on, combat fighters, dancers and gym instructors came out to showcased the dynamics of the training shoe at Pavilion, KL.

The few familiar faces I saw during the event were Mike, Linora, Bryan, Careen, Gladys, Sam & Jessica. I think this event is like a sign for me with a hint to push me to hit the gym. Well, all who attended the event got to bring back a pair of adiPure 360 training shoes howawesomeisthat!!!

The adiPure 360 will be on tour around Klang Valley & Easy Malaysia over the next few weeks so keep an eye on the following dates/locations!
