Last weekend was FUN!!! After witnessing Heineken winning GOLD at the 4th Putra Brand Awards at the Majestic Hotel on Friday night, I attended Heineken Ibiza Party the next night on Saturday.

The party was an exclusive closed event where 6 finalists who participated in the Heineken Ibiza Final challenge which was held through Facebook earlier were there to fight for the 3 spots WINNING the ultimate prize to watch the UEFA Champions League at Ibiza, Spain.

I wanna go watch too, some more it’s IBIZA!! Well congratulations to the 3 winners who went through a series of tough questions which are related to the UEFA Champions League. The night was filled with good music and good food as well as the ever awesome free flow of Heineken provided.

Hang out with a few familiar faces who where there as well till started drizzling later on. Would have stayed back for a longer time if not because of the rain but well nevertheless, I enjoyed myself pretty much. Cheers!!

Last week, Pakho Chau 周柏豪 Shiga Lin 连诗雅 from Hong Kong were here in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia for their album promo tour. They had a music showcase plus autograph session at Stage Club Kuala Lumpur on Friday night. Organized by GAM Entertainment, Pakho and Shiga were here to promote their latest album Imperfect Collection and Movin’ On respectively.

Scheduled to start at 9.30PM, both of them arrived around 9.45PM and came out 15 minutes later. MyFM DJ – Gan Mei Yan 顏微恩 was the emcee of the night where Pakho Chau 周柏豪 was the first artiste introduced up on stage. It was the first public appearance in Malaysia for Pakho Chau 周柏豪, a talented Hong Kong singer who kick-started his career back in 2007.

Shiga Lin 连诗雅 of Lan Kwai Fong 喜愛夜蒲 fame was here in Malaysia for the 2nd time where the last time she came was just last year in June. Pakho Chau 周柏豪 performed 2 songs 天光 and 無力挽回 where Shiga Lin 连诗雅 delivered 2 songs as well 起跑 and 到此为止.

There was a short game session after the performances where 5 lucky fans were picked by the emcee to be up on stage. The fans got to sing with their idol and the crowd get to decide who wins an autograph CD. The highlight of the session came when one specific fan-girl got all of Pakho’s fans jealous when she leaned on his shoulder while singing with the singer – check out the 2nd picture below.

The autograph session started right after the game session and it lasted for a good 40 minutes. Overall, the music showcase was good, just wished they performed more songs. Personal thought: Shiga looks a bit thinner now compared to when she was here in KL last June, hope she’ll gain back a bit weight! By the way, check out the videos recorded during the show below :

Taiwan’s biggest rock band Mayday 五月天 was in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia over last weekend to perform at Putra Indoor Stadium, Bukit Jalil two consecutive nights on both Saturday(2 March 2013) and Sunday(3 March 2013).The band consist of Ashin 阿信 (Lead Singer), Monster 怪獸, Stone 石頭 (Guitarist), Masa 瑪莎 (Bassist) and Guan You 冠佑 (Drummer).

When Mayday 五月天 came to KL, Malaysia for their 五月天變形DNA無限放大版世界巡迴 (2008-2010) in 2010, I had the chance to experience an amazing night and till date, that was still one of the best concert I’ve attended. Same like their last world tour, concerts of Mayday No-W-HERE 诺亚方舟 World Tour 2013 LIVE in Malaysia 马来西亚巡回演唱会 is based on a concept which revolves around the end of the world and the search for a new ‘second’ life where the whole idea came from the concept of their 8th album, Second Round – 第二人生.

Starplanet shared that this specific concert is one of the most expensive concert to organize as the amount of stuffs needed to complete the look and feel of the whole performance stage area are pretty complicated. This includes the huge amount of LED screens installed on the stage plus five gigantic elevated platforms installed along with the stage and all these excludes the sounds system as well as the overall lightings around the stage. The result? The visual experience was superb. Those who were sitting far away must have felt like they’re watching a movie altogether.

However, I felt that I didn’t enjoy as much as I did this time compared to their last concert back in 2010. Filled with impressive graphics and animation with video montages that comes on stage with 5 elevated platforms and massive LED screens everywhere, the sound and lightings was all good and Mayday 五月天 wasn’t disappointing at all. It might be just me but I liked that the overall concept of 五月天變形DNA無限放大版世界巡迴 more. I think the band interacted more with the fans back in 2010 as well. Of course, I still enjoyed myself pretty much singing along with some of the familiar tunes by Mayday 五月天!!

Malaysian Mayday fans are one of the best crowd in the world. Most of the fans who attended the concert brought along a unique custom made concert LED Light Stick. Before the concert, fans left messages on various Facebook pages about this custom made Mayday LED light stick which was available for sale at the venue for RM20 and believe me, the atmosphere through out the concert will never be the same without these LED light sticks.

It was a mesmerizing night with the LED lights shining through out the concert and to be amongst a hardcore bunch who sang along every single song, I really had a good 3 quality hours enjoying the show featuring Asia’s top Chinese band – Mayday 五月天.

Last Sunday, Paramore was here in Malaysia performing in front of 5,000 die-hard fans at Stadium Negara, Kuala Lumpur. It was their second time here in Malaysia since 2010. Tune Talk and BlackBerry was the 2 main sponsors which makes this possible – the Return of Paramore Live in Kuala Lumpur 2013.

The band Paramore which is currently consisting of Jeremy Davis, Taylor York, and Hayley Williams, have been through since their last show here, most notably losing founding members Josh and Zac Farro. Of course, the Malaysian fans were fully supportive up till now when they came for the 2nd time.

The concert started at 8PM+ with another act mewithoutYou, an American rock band from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania where the band performed for like an hour long. From my past experience attending concerts, it’s my first time ever witnessing another act having so much performing time out on stage compare to the main act. The title of the concert was the Return of Paramore Live in Kuala Lumpur. I find it a bit ridiculous and funny but good thing the crowd didn’t create much commotion and Paramore delivered a fantastic performance that night.

I mean like if I were to purchase tickets to Paramore concert and it was announced that the concert will start at 8PM, I went earlier, waited patiently till 8PM comes, then an act apart from Paramore came out to perform near to 1 hou followed by a 15 minutes break (for the crew to re-set up the stage for Paramore) before my favorite band Paramore make their way out, I would feel a bit pissed off. No offence to fans of mewithYou but when I was standing in the rock zone, I heard quite a number of people complaining about mewithYou’s type of music and at times, I was annoyed too. Duh.

Well anyways, Paramore made their way up on stage at around 9PM++ and brought the fans through a tracklist of 18 songs in total delivering a quality high energy performance that night.

Starting off with Now to That’s What You Get, the crowd at the rockzone were jumping and singing along loudly at the same time with their hands way up in the air waving. The atmosphere was superb and all I can say is Hayley Williams is still the same highly energetic icon of Paramore I’ve witnessed in Paramore’s concert a few years back here in KL.

There’s no doubt about her vocals, what I really respect about her is her dedication in performing live as well as interacting with the fans which had me all impressed with two thumbs up saluting her. Through out Paramore’s performance, the strong crowd of 5,000 die-hard fans sang their lungs out every single song. It was amazing!

At the end of the day, I’m sure Paramore’s fans went back home with a big smile on their face. A few bruises or muscle pain due to the extensive jumps and maybe having sorethroat as a result of singing out from their hearts, but it doesn’t matters. Paramore ROCKS.

The Chinese new year of the Snake is approaching and I recently received a pair of new shoes to welcome CNY2013! It is a pair of shoes in red (I LOVE RED COLOUR) and I was all excited to own this exclusive limited edition adidas Originals Superstar II. Am really thankful for this unexpected blessing, loved it max!

2012 was pretty good. Don’t really think that it was awesomely superb but I’m grateful for all the happenings in the past 12 months be it positive or negative ones. Am sure I gained quite a lot of stuff in 2012.

Of all months, December was the craziest month for me. Highlights of December 2012 – met up with some awesome people at events, went through a newbie experience to go on the field to capture some pictures of Harimau Malaya, witnessed 2 couples going through one of their most important stages in life, left KL for a while on a scheduled trip, had a simple birthday celebration, Christmas Day celebration and spending the last few days of 2012 with my love. It was a good month, one month I enjoyed really much.

At the end of the day, I thank God for everything and I’m grateful that I have so many wonderful people around me with awesome happenings along the path. Really enjoyed every bit of 2012 especially during the time spent with her.

2013 will DEFINITELY be a better year!

Thanks to the girls from Hong Kong, I don’t need to be too worried on where to go when I was in Macau earlier this year. After the random brunch session with Joyce, HiuYan and Peng Yee, we took a cab and head to the other side of Macau 澳門. Our first stop was the Macau Senate Square 澳门广场. By the time we reached there, it was around 2PM.

Before this, I’ve only heard of Macau 澳門 in TVB dramas but never really take the effort in finding out what’s awesome there. It turns out that the country which is famous for its casinos is also famous for a number of heritage sites. Well the Macau Senate Square 澳门广场 was built with a taste of ancient architecture and it is often a gathering point for tourists groups due to its spacious factor.

Upon reaching the place, I’m quite excited to see the amount of people there – mostly tourists like me myself who can’t wait to explore the surroundings. Walking into the smaller streets and pathways brought me and my friends to this beautiful Catholic church.

Didn’t really spent much time in the church and headed out and made a turning into a long stretch of road with tons of shops on both sides with stuffs dedicated to tourists. Most of the shops were selling cookies/biscuits and dried meat. YES dried meat everywhere!! The best part of this whole stretch of street is every single shop offers you a taste of their offering and I took slices of dried meat here and bits of cookies there.

The almond cookies there = AWESOME.

So yeah, soon we were pretty thirsty after treating ourselves to endless of tasting session along the street and we got ourselves some drinks! Not to mention, the weather on that day itself was quite hot, I was partially sweating.

At the end of the road, I found myself at the Ruins of St. Paul’s Cathedral 大三巴牌坊. The Cathedral was built from 1582 to 1602 and it is one of the largest Catholic churches in Asia at the time and was enlisted as UNESCO World Heritage Site Historic Centre of Macau in 2005. The Ruins of St. Paul’s Cathedral is now one of the most famous landmarks in Macau 澳門.

We stayed there for quite a while and I took loads of pictures. Even went up to the second level of the ruins to get this picture shown above. It was quite a view from the heritage site. Decided to leave the place and move to the Monte Fortress Garden 炮台花园 which was located just beside the ruins. Yes, everywhere is connected, awesome!

Went up Mount Hill and found myself surrounded by canons left right front and back. NICE. The fort was strategically located in the centre of the Macau Peninsula, watching over the city in all directions and it was once the principal military defensive structure in Macau. Yet another tourist attraction now which is a heritage site for the people in Macau itself.

The venues mentioned above – that was 2 hours plus well spent with quite an amount of walking under the hot sun! Below are some extra pictures before the end of this post.

Continuing from my last post on my first day at Macau 澳門 earlier this year, here’s a short post on my first meal on the second day. Prior to this trip, I actually contacted 2 friends from Hong Kong – Joyce & HiuYan to plan a meet up in Macau itself. Also asked another friend – Peng Yee who’s working in China to drop by on the same day itself.

So on the morning of my 2nd day at Macau, I met up with 3 friends and the four of us headed to this 誠昌飯店 Seng Cheong Restaurant at Macau which was quite famous for its Crab Porridge 水蟹粥! The branch was located at Guan Ye Street 官也街, Taipa 路氹, Macau 澳門.

Having a hot bowl of porridge in the morning with a few friends in a foreign land is something I really enjoy doing thus I had fun during the session. Shortly after the meal, we weren’t really full, so we ended up having Portuguese tarts and Porkchop bun at a random shop along the street. It was AWESOME.

With the rise of Samsung Galaxy phones series and Android OS overcoming iOS in the smartphone market in 2012, I thought the hype for iPhone 5 won’t be as big as previous years and I was expecting a much smaller crowd this year. The fact that Malaysians are more equipped with knowledge on getting phones overseas through countries like Hong Kong and Singapore had me thinking that hey, this time round the iPhone launch in Malaysia would be just a normal launch.

Boy I was wrong. The last minute decision made just the day before the launch with me ending up at Cap Square on the night – 13th of December 2012 proved me wrong. Compared to the previous iPhone launches by Maxis in the past few years, it’s obvious that Maxis has allocated a smaller budget with a smaller venue but the crowd, they still appeared that night.

The long queue waiting eagerly for their turns to get their hands on the Apple iPhone 5 was still pretty crazy.

This video below was taken around 12.10AM and it took me 7 whole minutes to go through the whole queue into the consumer hall where the first 45 person are seated in front of the counters waiting to get their iPhone5.

THAT, is just the consumer hall. On the night itself, there’re 2 more areas which is the Corporate Hall and the VIP area where there are 3 different crowds in total with tons of people waiting patiently since I don’t know what time to get the Apple iPhone5.

INSANE.

JLO Dance Again World Tour Live In Malaysia 2012 that was held earlier this month at Stadium Merdeka was awesome! Though the mood was quite down before the concert due to the rain that came pouring, it was great to watch her performing live all thanks to Celcom XPAX!

Was deciding whether to drive to the stadium or park somewhere near a monorail station and talk the train there on the day itself. Made a last minute decision to go with the monorail as it started to rain and good thing me and my friend decided so, we skipped the jam and reached around 7pm meeting up strong crowd lining out of the stadium under the rain.

Anyway we (both me and my friend) met up with a few familar faces before heading into the stadium to be seated in the area where there’s a roof above us. Good thing I was not on the field – I thought to myself. The rain shows no signs of stopping even after Jennifer Lopez came up on stage at 9PM, one hour later than the scheduled time of the concert.

However, the atmosphere totally change when the 43 years old international superstar stood out in a gliterring suit with her bunch of dancers rocking the stage. Tracks from her earlier days such as Love Don’t Cost A Thing, Jenny From The Block and Waiting For Tonight were performed. Those were the songs I prefered more actually compare to her recent club hits.

There was one part when her boyfriend was on stage dancing with her, quite hot I must say!

Anyway, the climax of the concert was definitely when she performed On The Floor. The rain had already stopped by then and everyone was jumping to the tunes. Shortly after the performance, Jennifer Lopez went off the stage leaving the crowd screaming encore.

For me, I’ve already expected that she will be back on stage again as the song Dance Again wasn’t out yet and that was indeed the last song she performed on stage before wrapping up the Malaysia version of Dance Again World Tour.

I enjoyed quite a lot that night watching Jennifer Lopez showing no signs of stopping in her career by dancing and singing off her heart on stage. It was amazing, thanks to Celcom XPAX for the experience!
