Linkin Park will be performing LIVE in Malaysia on the 19th of August 2013 where their concert will be happening at Bukit Jalil national stadium! The announcement was made on the 14th of June 2013 through Linkin Park official website and Facebook Page. Concert pre-sale tickets will be made available for members of Linkin Park Underground from 19 June 2013 onwards.

The last time the international band came was back in 2003 where the Malaysian government actually imposed quite a few regulations and guidelines for the concert which was held back then. After 10 years, fans of Linkin Park in Malaysia will see their dream come true to watch the band performing live in Kuala Lumpur.

Michelle Chen Yan Xi 陳妍希 Me Myself and I music showcase & autograph session was held successfully on the Friday night of 14 June 2013. The event has a turnout rate of 70% where it started around 8.30PM. It wasn’t a surprise where more male fans turned up to fill the hall at Bentley Music Auditorium, Mutiara Damansara to catch a glimpse of Michelle Chen Yan Xi 陳妍希, the actress/singer from Taiwan.

Jason of MyFM was the emcee of the event where he only came out on stage after Michelle 陳妍希 performed the first song 叔公的小城故事. A total of 8 songs were performed and Michelle Chen 陳妍希 shared quite a number of personal stories and experience which includes her relationship before she joined the entertainment industry, tracks included in her debut album which was meant as a dedication to certain important people in her life. She also shared some funny stories which happened along her career, how she wanted to be a singer first but ended up being an actress instead till now where she finally accomplished her dream.

Putting aside the critics she received from the public and media in Taiwan, I felt that Michelle Chen 陳妍希 has the qualities of being a singer. She definitely has the charisma, charm to be in front of the audience and get people’s attention with her down to earth sweet smile. Of course, vocals is the main factor and I do think she has the vocals. Just that she needs more proper training and experience in singing.

Bentley music auditorium is the perfect place for me to clearly hear what she has to offer through her voice as the sound system there is really good. Though there were several parts where she kinda went faster along the tunes and sometimes she didn’t hit the right note, it’s evidently clear that she has a clean thorough vocals within. People might debate and insisted that it’s not a good thing for Michelle Chen 陳妍希 to debut as a singer now after being a popular actress but I’m glad she insisted in pursuing her dream to be a singer.

At least I can be able to see a more personal side from her and of course, singing is a different talent than acting and now we know she can do both. To state the fact, she’s definitely not as good as a lot of singers out there especially in a country like Taiwan, but I think she has what it takes to catch up and achieve something in the music industry. Of course, it’s up to her entirely on when she wants to continue on this dream of her. She has made it clear from the start that after the debut of this album, she’ll be focusing back on her acting career.

Back to the event, the autograph session started right away after her performances and sharing where fans brought on the album Me Myself and I for her to sign on. A local Malaysian artiste Ke Qing 可晴 was seen at the event too where she had an autograph from Michelle Chen 陳妍希.

Michelle Chen Yan Xi 陳妍希 is in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia this particular week for her promotional tour to promote her debut album Me, Myself & I. The album was released 2 months ago.

Earlier today, Michelle Chen Yan Xi 陳妍希 was at IOI Mall, Puchong for the press conference of her album’s promotional tour. When she arrived at the venue, she showed this very same sweet smile walking into a room of welcoming Malaysian media. That smile were there from the start till the end. Despite her fame in the region due to the movie You Are The Apple of My Eye 2 years ago, Michelle Chen Yan Xi 陳妍希 stood in front of us with the identity of a singer and she was really down to earth.

Jason of MyFM was the emcee for the event and the session started right away with a few generic questions/answers being exchanged.

When Michelle Chen Yan Xi 陳妍希 joined the entertainment industry back then, she actually wanted to be a singer where her passion was singing back then. However, her company encouraged her to go into acting first and it was until 2013 that she is able to keep her dream alive by officially releasing an album.

Since 2010, Michelle Chen Yan Xi 陳妍希 actually sang in a few tracks in particular and all these while, she held on to her dream. After her little success in acting when she rose to fame with the movie mentioned above, she started having real plans in releasing an album. One reason she wants to do so is to leave all the characters she played in movies/series behind and be who she really wants to be.

With the release of Me, Myself & I, Michelle Chen Yan Xi 陳妍希 wants to show the fans a more personal side of herself. This is also why she actually contributed quite a bit in the album itself. Apart from recording the tracks, she wrote all the lyrics of the songs and 90% of the tracks were composed by her. Not an easy task for a new singer who just debut.

Anyway, back to the press conference, quite a number of questions asked were related to her love life and it was kinda cute she kept saying she’ll find the right guy one day and she’s looking forward to it happening.

Her killer smile was kinda distracting to me most of the time so I didn’t really pay attention on most of the questions and answers. Michelle Chen Yan Xi will be making a few appearance in the next 2 days and below is the schedule:

Rainie Yang 杨丞琳 was at Summit USJ, Subang on the 29th of May 2013, making a public appearance as part of her concert promotional tour.  This is to promote her -为爱起丞- LOVE VOYAGE concert which will be happening on the 29th of June 2013.

It was a rainy Wednesday night and there were massive traffic jams around the area. However, the event start on time as scheduled at 8PM where fans of 杨丞琳 Rainie were seen welcoming the Taiwan pop princess. The event started with Rainie 杨丞琳 going up on stage upon a brief introduction by the emcee, DJ Jason from MyFM radio station. There was a public Q&A session for the media who were present there to ask.

Shortly after that, members of a Malaysian RainieYang fanclub [myrainie.com] gave a little surprise to the singer from Taiwan where they presented a cake + present + flowers to celebrate Rainie Yang’s birthday in advance. Rainie’s birthday falls on the 4th of June. Members of the fan club went up on stage to grab a photo opportunity after that. A separate photo session was conducted on stage with the media flashing their cameras followed by a close up interview by a few digital media.

Just like any other promotional tour featuring a singer, an interactive game session was held where a few lucky fans were invited on stage to play a simple game with Rainie Yang, the artiste herself. Concert tickets of different tiers were given out.

A final photo session was held where this time it involved the crowd and Rainie Yang herself. The autograph session was conducted right after that where fans who have purchased the concert tickets were allowed to obtain an autograph on the album cover of -为爱起丞- Love Voyage by Rainie Yang.

End of the day, everything went smoothly and the whole session ended around 10PM. Personally, I felt that the location did not do justice to the Taiwan pop princess Rainie Yang 杨丞琳 where Summit USJ was not an ideal location to hold such an event at all. With the fact that it was on a weekday where the session was held right after working hours and the place is not public transport friendly, the amount of people who managed to turned up was slightly disappointing.

張紋嘉 Crystal Cheung & 黎美言 Winkie Lai 張紋嘉 of Hotcha from Hong Kong was in Kuala Lumpur on Thursday (23 May 2013) for their music live show HotCha馬來西亞拉闊音樂會2013 which was held at Studio Lounge, Tropicana City Mall, PJ.

The girl group Hotcha which debuted in 2007 have came to Malaysia a couple of times in the past for various activities. Though Regen was missed in this particular show, that didn’t stop the fans from supporting Hotcha where a group of supportive fans were seen holding cardboards in front of the stage at Studio Lounge.

The show started on time at 8PM with opening performances by a band performing 6 tracks in total. Hotcha – 張紋嘉 Crystal Cheung & 黎美言 Winkie Lai 張紋嘉 came up on stage later on with a warm welcome from the crowd before performing the first track Hot Lady.

It was a shame that the lighting settings in Studio Lounge was not suitable for the show, good thing the sound system was pretty decent resulting in a good performance by the girls from Hong Kong. Through out the show, the girls have to take both the role of a performer as well as emcees. It was weird but fun at the same time to watch two girls talking so much up on stage.

The whole show went smoothly where it ended around 10PM. Personally, I noticed this particular girl group Hotcha when they first debuted in 2007 where the song 不要防曬 led me to them. At the end of the day, I am happy with the fact that I managed to grab a photo with Crystal 張紋嘉.
