After 2 year since the last time Eason Chan 陳奕迅 came to Malaysia to promote his album, he’s finally back again! This time he brought his recently launched cantonese album Getting Ready 準備中 to meet his fans in Malaysia. Before meet the fans session was held, a launch ceremony was held and the event was live broadcasted thought Google Hangout and MYFM radio station too.
Thanks to Universal Music Malaysia for bringing Eason in to Malaysia to promote his new Cantonese album 《Getting Ready 準備中》 on the 6th day of the album global launch. Just a few days before Eason’s new album went on sales, the album received fantastic feedback , and the album in Malaysia is currently in demand too.
The close door event begin around 1:30PM where Eason made an appearance in a sweet strawberry shirt. Eason started off by sharing members of the media on the production of his new album. He stated he felt warm and comfortable with his fans here in Malaysia as most of his Malaysian fans can listen or speak Cantonese, which he thought helped gap the bridge to gain resonance.
Eason’s new album was actually long ready before it was launched, as he did not receive any pressure from his recording label on when his album might be released, so he allowed the production team sufficient time to be more prepared and of course – the quality of the album would be top class. He is very humorous throughout the interview with a lot of stories to share. One good news from Eason is he will be having a concert tour soon and Malaysia MIGHT be one of the station next year, let’s hope it will be confirmed soon!
The host was curious if Eason had the same thick moustache like how he was portrayed on his album’s cover photo. Eason said that was actually a doll and not Eason in person, as he will never have a thick moustache due to the fact that he don’t have much facial hair. In the interview, Eason also shared that there is another album on its way for release. The ongoing production will be a duet album which actually started off since 2011. Can’t wait!
In the session, there was this question from the media Eason on any plans to collaborate with JJ Lin 林俊傑 again. With a quick reply Eason brushed off the idea as there are no plans yet for his next solo album. He also added a bit of his story on his adventures during the collaboration with JJ Lin for his previous Mandarin Album.
A simple launch ceremony was held after the interview session. Knowing Eason’s interest in badminton where he even played with our national hero Dato Lee Chong Wei before, Universal Music Malaysia specially prepared a badminton racket for the Hong Kong star with hopes of him to visit Malaysia more often.
Overall it was an interesting session with good topics. Of course, the humorous side of Eason had everyone going on in a positive mood.
