This year, Carlsberg Where’s The Party was held at MAEPS (Malaysia Agro Exposition Park Serdang) on the 6th of July 2013 where the event started as early as 4.30PM with people gathering at a meeting point. With the whole place being transformed into an airport, there were air stewardess making their rounds and I’m particularly delighted by how much effort they placed in making the venue looking like an airport.
Food and Free Flow of Carlsberg were provided at a few different booths before the main event starts. There were other mini activities going on at different areas as well which includes a massage area, a station where you can test your alcohol level & more.
The crowd was quite big and everyone were enjoying themselves by mixing around and of course, getting their rounds of Carlsberg being served at the venue.
When they started calling everyone into the main hall, Douglas Lim came up on stage to perform. Though his stand up comedy act was filled with vulgarities in and out, it was hillarious and entertaining!
9 Lives, DJ Inquisitive, Emcee Derrick ,3am In The Valley, Joel Turner, Big Skryptz, Sweety and etc were the next few acts being up on stage. Wasn’t really impressed by the acts then. Due to the excessive noise level (Not sure if it’s the act or the PA system was bad) as well as the amount of smokers happily smoking in the venue which resulted in my girlfriend not feeling well, we left the party at around 10.15PM.
It was nice seeing a few old faces and the plane in the hall itself was quite cool, but at the end of the day, the fact that Carlsberg provided free flow of beer didn’t manage to keep me staying through out the night as I thought the acts arranged were kinda sucky altogether except for Douglas Lim. Big SIGH.
Well that’s all for Carlsberg Where’s The Party. To those who went, did you enjoy yourself?
