Thanks to Nuffnang, I got to watch Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter last night at 1 Utama. Though some would say that this movie is pretty boring and slow, I personally think that this movie was pretty interesting with a smooth story flow added with a strong character in Abraham Lincoln as a Vampire Hunter.
The film talks about Abraham Lincoln, 1 of the presidents of US who has another identity being a vampire hunter. After a first hand experience involving his own family member through an encounter with vampires, he stepped on a path as a slayer in the dark and never looked back since.
If you ask me, I would admit that the story line was a bit dull (Do note that i mentioned that the flow was smooth above). The love story of the main character plays just a small part. However, I totally loved the tone, color & background settings of the movie featuring towns in US in the olden days. The look and feel was pretty awesome.
What made it better was the details in the many fight scenes shown in the movie itself, loved how he swing his axe slaying the vampires that were in his way. The most epic battle scene must gotta be the one which involves the horses. Won’t talk further on that, you have to watch for yourself then you’ll understand what I mean. Of course, bare in mind that some of you might get bored of this movie as some parts are slightly lengthy. Still love it personally as a movie. Definitely not the kinda vampires you see in the Twilight movies.
