Recently, when I catch up with a few friends, I realized that there are quite a number of them who have plans in heading to Hong Kong/Macau in the next few weeks. Well, if your travelling period to Macau is in the span of 25-27 May 2012, then you should check out this! If you’ll be in Hong Kong that period, it is recommended that you take 1 day off your schedule to visit Macau. Why so?
This is because the Venetian Carnival 2012 is happening in the period with the theme - New Orleans Mardi Gras

The Venetian Carnival is an annual celebration of world-renowned carnivals – a celebration of culture through music, food, wine and live entertainment. The theme for 2012 ~ New Orleans Mardi Gras will include a nightly massive parade through the Venetian Macao comprising a brass band, street performers and singers. Theme-decorated booths will be set up around Campanile Tower and the Lagoon with local and international foods, beverages and trinkets for sale; along with face painters, gondola rides and beer and wine gardens adorning the grounds just outside the Venetian Macao main lobby.
In its second year, Venetian Carnival 2012 is a three-day non-stop music, food and wine festival set outside the main lobby around the Campanile Tower of the Venetian Macao.
