Organised by Star Planet, Hong Kong-based female group ‘Twins’ is set for a ‘come-back’ show this 9 June 2012 at the Arena of Stars, Genting Highlands at 8pm. It has been more than 6 years since they last performed in Malaysia.
The show, which is touted to be different from the pop duo’s previous ventures, will see many fresh elements. From the glittering stage setting and in-style outfits to the intricate production choreography, this concert will promise to throw the fans a big wow. Twins will perform a wide spectrum of their classics and share the bits of their past 10 years with fans on stage.
Twins, made up of dazzling-looking Charlene Choi (Ah Sa) and Gillian Chung (Ah Gill), was formed in the summer of 2001 and the group is claimed as the pioneer of the Cantopop duo as their success unleashes the market for group singers.
Between 2001 and 2003, they received a total of 72 awards. This was a remarkable feat for the relatively new group at the time. Their music was generally targeted at young teens, but in 2004 they began to attract a wider audience by venturing into different styles of music. For years, they had received a large number of awards from all major International Music Awards Presentation. Most of their songs stayed at the top of many different musical charts for several weeks. Their achievements helped highlight and cement their popularity amongst other singers.
Many fans fall into disappointment when Twins announced its “temporary” dissolution in 2008. Yet, the myth of Twins power does not end here. 2 years after the split, Twins announced its reunions and kick-started their 10th anniversary World Tour concert with first gig took place in Hong Kong, followed by Guang Zhou, United State and China.

成军十载的TWINS在2011正式开跑‘Twins十年世界巡回演唱会’，以隆重的方式纪念她们历经风雨的”十年”。演唱会从香港出发，巡演至内地多个城市、美国、加拿大及新加坡等地，这一系列的”大动作”让人目不暇接，宣示着阿娇与阿Sa以Twins之名的全面回归。那句曾令无数人熟悉并怀念的口号再次响亮起来——— “大家好，我们是Twins！”
这次合体复出的演唱会，她們以“人人彈起”為主題，是要證明Twins面對任何環境也可以彈得更高更遠。Twins也表示，每一场的演出都会呈现一些不同的表演元素，这次的大马站也不例外。这次的演唱会，除了有华丽的造型及舞台灯光设计，TWINS更視今次的演唱會為一集體回憶，希望在舞台上跟久违六年的大马Fans分享成長路上的心聲。
香港二人女子组合TWINS的成员有蔡卓妍(阿SA) 和钟欣桐 (阿GILL)。TWINS在香港各大颁奖典礼横扫无数组合及演唱人重要奖项，许多热门歌曲都占据了各大流行音乐排行榜，例如《恋爱大过天》、《风筝与风》、《下一站天后》、《多谢失恋》、《星光游乐园》等等。两人也在最近的MyASTRO至尊流行榜颁奖典礼上拿下‘至尊专业表现奖’，‘至尊组合’及以《3650》拿下‘至尊金曲奖’.
