Chinese New Year for 2012 seems a bit different for me. For the past few years, i’ve always looked forward to this specific period where i could get long holidays as well as meeting up with friends plus eating all the delicious stuffs around. This time round, i felt indifferent, with a few thoughts in mind that’s bothering me. I don’t know is it the unusual rainy weather that wasn’t really supposed to happen during CNY period or i’m just thinking too much. =X
Anyway, i had quite a lot of smiling moments through out the last week being with people i loved. Though i didn’t consume that much food compared to the past few years, i still had quite a lot of delicious noms down my stomach in the past few days.

It all started with the pre CNY dinner 2 weeks back with colleagues. Then the reunion dinner at home in KL. Went to Kuantan on the first day of Chinese New Year to find the girlfriend. You know, for me, i never really had the chance to dine with relatives or at someone’s else house be it church members, friends & etc during Chinese New Year period and so it has been quite some time since i last enjoy being around a table of people exchanging conversations and laughters.

When i was in Kuantan, i followed the girlfriend’s famiy to her grandaunt’s place not once, but twice and really enjoyed the time there. Though i was quiet most of the time, but it was fun. Not to mention that there was a 2nd batch behind us after we took our meal due to the amount of people being more than the amount of seats available in the house. Went to the beach, had cendol & appreciate times being with the girlfriend before heading back to KL.

The 3rd day of CNY. Reached KL around evening, had dinner with family & went out straight to find friends. LOL. The same thing kinda happened for Thursday & Friday except where i played basketball on Friday night + a random trip to Genting in the night!

Saturday was 1 day i was looking forward to as i’ve kinda organized a reunion dinner with some close secondary school friends. It started from lunch time & went on to an open table session then to dinner and another open table session where i was away from home for like…. 16 hours with the same bunch of people.

The dinner was quite epic, not because of the food we ordered, but because of the attendees. Quite a lot of people in the gang brought their spouse/partner so it was a different gathering altogether. Owh and i received a red bomb!! The first official invitation out of 4 remaining weddings that i know of this year. (Attended the first wedding few weeks back LOL)

Sunday was fun! Despite a few friends not attending, the ‘Pun Choy’ session went on with the 8 of us being at Sg Buloh for the glorious moment in embracing all the food within 10 minutes time. Lol okay, maybe it’s 20 minutes time. Had dessert, went to ‘Yum Cha’ and there goes the 8th day of Chinese New Year 2012 for me.

Recent topics are about wedding, marriage, properties & etc. So much for CNY 2012 & im glad i still have my loved ones around. Anyway, Chinese New Year has not ended, yet!! Looking forward to a few more random sessions. Anyone?
By the way, how was your Chinese New Year? Hope you’re having a great one! =)
