The Nuffnang Asia-Pacific Blog Awards 2011 at IOI Marriott Putrajaya

Woohoo!!! It’s the Nuffnang Asia-Pacific Blog Awards 2011 at IOI Marriott Putrajaya!!!

This is the 2nd time Nuffnang organized the Nuffnang Asia-Pacific Blog Awards 2011 & i must say that i’m very impressed. Skipped the first one due to some long winded complications but managed to make it for this time round. Good job to the team who managed it this time, especially to Michelle. Thank you!! =)

Compared to the last one, this of course is a much bigger one. To date, Nuffnang has expanded from Malaysia & Singapore to 5 more countries which includes China, Philippines, Australia, Hong Kong & the recent expansion to Thailand. That being said, the work done behind the scene has to involve more manpower. I’ve personally been involved in an international conference a few years back and i know it’s not easy planning from 0-100 putting A-Z in order making sure everything goes smooth, it takes a huge amount of time each day for each individuals communicating between different countries. *Thumbs Up* to all those who worked beyond the clock to make this happen.

On that day itself, it was quite rushing for me. Was thrilled when i was offered the chance to drive a VW vehicle but couldn’t do so as i have to fetch the girlfriend – Tiffanie from LCCT airport that very evening. Every seconds matter.

Ended up being late at NAPBAS but it was all good. At least i made it right? Lol. When i reached, Reshmonu was already performing halfway & i found myself amongst a few familiar faces on table 14. Was privileged to be with these famous bloggers – Saimatkong, TianChad, Akiraceo, Cindy Tey & Jane!

In total, there were 10 awards being given out that night. Check out all the official pictures here. For me personally, i really enjoyed the food there as well as the scheduled performances, especially when Harith Iskandar takes on the stage with his comedy act. Damn nice!

It was till after the awards only i get to mingle around with fellow bloggers there, some whom i’ve not meet for quite some time already. It was all good seeing them again, too bad i was late if not i’ll make sure i make friends with some foreign Nuffnang bloggers. Always love making new friends. =)

The night didn’t end there yet. Headed to Zouk for the NAPBAS after party at Velvet Underground where we have our own private zone partying to ourselves. Awesomeness to the max!! The best thing is we get to have free drinks (1 house drink + 2 bottles of Heineken for each person – it’ll be enough if you’re not a hardcore drinker lol).

Had lotsa fun that night. Though everything started in a rush but at least it ended with a big smile on both me and my girlfriend’s face and that’s all that matters.

Of course, it was all good seeing all sorts of bloggers gathering at one place. The atmosphere was great. Thanks to Michelle & Nuffnang for the invites! =)
