The Hong Kong trip over last weekend was pretty random. Apart from the accommodation, everything else was impromptu. We reached Hong Kong around noon and by the time we sort out our accommodation, we went straight out to hunt for food.

A 2 minute walk out of Chungking Mansion 重庆大厦 at Tsim Sha Tsui 尖沙咀 leads us to this Hong Kong style Restaurant – 香港仔烧味牛什.鱼蛋粉面.

Address : 40, Lower Ground, Carnarvon Road 加拿分道, Tsim Sha Tsui 尖沙咀

It was a decent eating place with bright lighting. We ordered our meals immediately as we were starving. John Mah ordered Char Siew Roasted Pork Rice 叉烧烧肉饭 and i ordered Char Siew Roasted Duck Rice 叉烧烧鸭饭!!

Char Siew Roasted Pork Rice 叉烧烧肉饭 – 2/5 at HKD36 or RM15

Char Siew Roasted Duck Rice 叉烧烧鸭饭 – 3/5 at HKD36 or RM18

Char Siew Roasted Pork Rice 叉烧烧肉饭 – 2/5 at HKD36 or RM18

Though we were extremely hungry, i was kinda disappointed with the Char Siew 叉烧 served at this particular outlet. I expected better ones which taste much nicer but the ones here are hard to chew on and it’s pretty tasteless. The roasted pork 烧肉 was just so so only. Good thing i had roasted duck 烧鸭 myself which tasted good!

Fried Carrot Cake 萝卜糕 – 2/5 at HKD21 or RM10

The Fried Carrot Cake 萝卜糕 was quite tasteless as well. The sauce which came along didn’t blend well with the dish. So disappointed. There goes my first meal in Hong Kong.

Cold Milk Tea 冻奶茶 – 2/5 at HKD8 or RM4

Cold Milk Tea was the only thing which made me happy at the end of the meal.

Came back and found out that this 香港仔烧味牛什.鱼蛋粉面 at 尖沙咀 Tsim Sha Tsui has quite a number of negative reviews. Too bad we didn’t do our research before we went to Hong Kong.

The bill came up to HKD109 which is around RM55. Oh well. Do not visit this place if you happen to be around the area hunting for food. Boo.
