Transformers: Dark of the Moon was awesome! I loved it! It’s almost impossible to say the movie sucks, especially when you experienced it in 3D through the gigantic screen of an IMAX theatre!!!
Okay, it wasn’t really in IMAX. I went to GSC MAXX yesterday. GSC took over the IMAX theatre which is in Times Square 10th floor just last year and named it to GSC MAXX, though they revamped the whole place to be slightly different than before, it is the closest to IMAX standards in Malaysia. Larger screen with better audios. Ticket price at RM20.50. =)
I enjoyed watching this movie in GSC MAXX so i assume that it would be totally awesome if it’s in FULL IMAX 3D! Again, i was sitting still from the start till the end not knowing that the movie was 2.30 hours long. Totally enjoyed watching it hehe. =D
Sam Witwicky (Shia LaBeouf) is back after saving the world twice and now he’s a fresh graduate who just graduated 3 months and oh he has a new girlfriend. One who is gorgeous and is most unlikely to be the gf of such a guy (minus saving the world part)!
Carly (Rosie Huntington-Whiteley) was introduced in this movie replacing Mikayla (Megan Fox). Both equally gorgeous and they can’t be compared together! LOL
I guessed Bumblebee is still the fav. robot of all Transformers and though Optimus Prime show ultimate dominance, Bumblebee still gets the hearts of the public. Having a vehicle upgrade (Fifth generation Chevrolet Camaro), along with Ironhide(GMC Topkick), Ratchet (Search and rescue Hummer H2), Sidesweep (Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Convertible), Dino(Red Ferrari 458 Italia) , Que (Blue Mercedes-Benz W212), The Wreckers [NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Chevrolet Impala - Topspin (Jimmie Johnson #48 Lowe’s/Kobalt car), Roadbuster (Dale Earnhardt, Jr. #88 AMP Energy/National Guard car), Leadfoot (Juan Pablo Montoya #42 Target car) ] under the command of Optimus Prime (Blue Peterbilt 379 truck with red flame decals) ROCKED!!!
Too bad the twins didn’t make it to the big screen. Scenes of Skids and Mudflap (Chevrolet Sparks) were actually shot but was dropped from the final editing. =(
Sentinel Prime (Fire rescue truck) is one of the key character in this movie and that’s all i can say about it. =D
Megatron (Armored rusty Mack Titan 10-wheeler fuel tank truck), Starscream (F-22 Raptor), Shockwave , (Silver Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG), Crankcase(Chevrolet Suburban emergency vehicles) were the main villains in the movie where they gave quite a good fight against the Autobots in the heart of Chicago city.
I actually have quite much to say about the storyline itself where i thought it wasn’t really good enough but then again, all the metal-to-metal action fighting scenes including the mid-air slow motion moments with explosions in the background from left to right & everywhere made this movie 200% worth watching!
Many parts were well explained and this movie is VERY Michael Bay. Lots of scenes were shot reflecting his styles and if you’ve read articles & watch his previous works before, you would know what i meant.
At the end of the day, i loved this movie pretty much and it’s a shame if they really decide to make this the last Transformers movie. Please do more of such film.
*In fact, i wish to see the Hollywood peeps working with the Japanese in bringing Gundam live action movie to the silver screen!
What do i think of a Transformers movie without Megan Fox? Totally fine with it! Rosie Huntington-Whiteley of Victoria Secret supermodel fame did quite a great job in Carly and i actually prefer it like that. Loved Megan Fox but Transformers should be all about Autobots VS Decepticons. =D
My Rating for this movie is 9/10

I just came out from Maxx, my seat is at row E center No24, still I don’t really feel maximize 3D effect (I’ve watched true IMAX there for Polar Express).
In fact I’ve watched Transformer 3 for third time now, 1st I’ve watched normal 3d (in fact screen resolution is clearer compare with Maxx), then follow by non-3D (screen resolution is the clearest as no 3d layers). Then Maxx disappointed me as it’s the most blur on-screen, then the Maxx 3D effect isn’t great like IMAX even I’ve sit at row E which is considering 2/3 from screen, next time I need to sit further front probably 50% from screen then see how’s the difference.
I only watched once so far in maxx so i couldn’t tell you which is better though, thanks for the input anyways! =)
Anyway, i Love Transformer.. it’s a nice show!!
