I’ve got my VAT (Value Added Tax) Refund!!
Just received the cheque from Global Refund which is based in Slovakia with the VAT refund arriving at my mailbox just today.
Well just a simple sharing to all of you out there, in case you’re as noob as i am that is.
Whenever you go overseas, if you are having some crazy shopping spree, do remember to get the VAT refund form from the specific shop you bought your stuffs and get them to fill up the payment details for you on the form itself.

Then just before leaving the country itself, at the airport, do inquire on where can you submit the VAT Refund form and the airport is the place you should submit the forms.
So how long will it take before you get your money back?
In my case, i went to Manchester in December 2009 and the date that was written on the Cheque itself was issued in February 2010 which i’ve got it in my hands just today, March 2010.
So you do the calculations yourself.
Do remember about this when you shop overseas and of course, do not be stupid to claim it when you spend like USD5 or 3Pounds. Haha.
Last but not least, if you don’t really give a damn about the money then you can get the form and fill in my details!! I’ll repay you in hugs and for sure i’ll more than happy to get the VAT refund on behalf of you xD
Till then, Cheers!
