Yesterday, i went to Pavilion for this movie with a few ex-college mates. Wanted to watch it ever since i know that it is going to be out. With Stephen Chow as producer i thought that this movie should be at some certain level but i was wrong!

This is one fine example of where the trailer shows the best out of the movie and when you watch the movie you go like shoot, i’ve been cheated!!!

This movie tells a tale of a simple story talking about a village girl who loves dancing gets the chance to go to a city and live her dream. From a village girl to a factory worker/toilet cleaner to a dancer and even manage to couple with a businessman who is the top 100 wealthiest guy in the country.

Through the trailer, it sounds awesome, look awesome but by the time i stepped out of the cinema, i wonder why i didn’t watch this movie on a Wednesday with just RM6. Oh i know, because i have work.

To further spill the beans, let me just say it this way. The storyline wasn’t quite clear, there were lotsa parts that deserves a more detail elaboration with a bit spice here and there. The jokes and humor were there but in some scenes it was a bit too over i must say ESPECIALLY the SINGING PART, i was freaking annoyed with it!

Intro was sucky, there’s no climax, storyline is plain with no WOW factor, ending sucks to the max with many things uncleared. I even suspect the whole script and story were simply written just like that, very very weak.

The only one point that attracted me was how the scenes were filmed/taken/shot/recorded, the dance steps, the focuses on certain parts of the body be it hands leg or facial expression, the different scenes on the object that was edited and combined together with the background behind especially when they were showing on the training part. It was awesome i think.

Other than that, nah. Watch this movie only if you like to see how scenes were shot/filmed from which angle focusing on which area and such. Or perhaps you’re a big fan of hiphop dancing that is.

My Rating for this movie is 5/10
