Thanks to Hitomi who invited me to this special screening of the movie The Box just yesterday. =)

Without knowing much about the movie, i just googled a bit about the movie knowing that it is about a box duh and wealth comes along the box. Just read through the first few lines of the sypnosis and knowing that Cameron Diaz is in it that’s all.

Went to the cinemas with Andy and AhFo during the night for the movie at 9.30.

Straight to the movie itself. Its one movie that most people will think it sucks. People as in the people i know around me. The storyline was set back in the year 1976 and the movie is very deep. There were still parts where i couldn’t digest up till now not knowing what was the meaning behind the scenes.

Anyway, just imagine this, one day, some total stranger coming up to you offering something that would make your life much more easier in exchange of something bad that will happen on another person.

In this movie itself, it is the case of doing something as easy as pressing a button and you’ll get 1 million cash but someone unknown to you will die the moment you press the button.

That’s all i can say about this movie and you’ll have to find out the exact details in the movie itself.

I must say that such movie is even freakier that will give me goosebumps compared to those horror movies out there which involves ghost, spirits and such. At least in those movies, you know that the characters in it are dealing with some ghost/spirits and you’ll get to see them on the big screen but this movie itself, no.

I have no idea on what the characters are dealing with in this movie itself and the whole meaning/definition/theme to the story itself might vary depending on different individuals. The “enemy” may be God, Devil or even they themselves!!

At the end of the movie, it’s like the music of X-files are playing where 5 words were displayed on the big screen itself. The truth is out there.

That is why i say many people will think that this movie sucks where it involves alot of thinking from the audiences and sometimes, the thinking won’t give you the answers to your questions.

One simple thing i know from this movie is that there’s no free lunch in this world. Yeaps, something that most of us already know all these while. =)

You can still give this movie a try if you’re into movies that brings various messages with unclear explanations leaving you in silence at the end of it. Just don’t come and swear at me okay?
