Interviewing Tata Young

It was early this month that i have the privilege to meet the top female singer of Thailand, one name that is well known even out of the country Thailand itself.

Knowing the amount of achievements she achieved along the years with that record of being someone that big, i couldn’t say that i’m not nervous at all.

Its just a short 10 minutes interview on the 10th of September 2009 where i was arranged in a slot with this Yea! Magazine reporter Janice. So yea, please do read the whole text and comment on my questions as its my first time doing so, so i need some thoughts and insights from you all. Critics. =)

Here it goes.

Me : Congratulations on the release of your 3rd English album. So with this 3rd English album, is there any favourite song for you personally or any song in this album that you could relate to yourself?
Tata Young : Every song, every song has a personal influence on me, but its about different timing and my rule is i would only sing songs that i believe in so every songs that i sing is basically songs that i believe in and i have experienced with. My all time favourite song at the moment, if i get to perform, get to sing it today, is Mission Is You.

Me : In the process of making this album, i believe that there’s some interesting stuffs and happenings, could you share some of it?
Tata Young : Well I get to live in Berlin during the recording of this album, so i kind of change countries that i lived in, living in Berlin a little while recording this album, and then when we did with the production side of it i got to work with a Korean team, so its very international, i get to move around a lot and get to work with many teams so that’s a wonderful experience.

Me: There’s a strong value in this album which is love, can you elaborate more on what you would like to convey through this album?
Tata Young : Fun! I want everybody to listen to the album and feel like its all so fun, apart from just feeling love, feeling that there’s fun!

Me : Are you looking forward to more English albums in the future?
Tata Young : Definitely for sure! i’ve just started this one though so i’m still trying to make this one work out. I’m going to keep singing.

Me : Do you intend to go into acting again, and what kind of role would you consider
Tata Young : I would love to pursue my acting career again, its just so i probably need to clone myself before i can act because at the moment i am just promoting this album and i would feel so bad for my co stars because i would have only like one day in a week to shoot the movie and the director would probably be killing me. I would like to be in a Hollywood movie, with Will smith maybe one day, i would like to pursue my acting career again one day and maybe play a role, a psychotic women perhaps?

Me : You have mentioned in 1 of your interviews that you are always excited in the future, so what are the dreams that you would like to achieve in the future?
Tata Young : I would love to be the first Asian to breakthrough internationally if i can but if its not me at least i’m one of the first people to kind of make it happen.

Me : Between acting and singing, which do you enjoy more doing?
Tata Young : Singing, singing it is for sure!

Me : Who is your role model, is there any person that you look up to & why?
Tata Young : I love Madonna, i think she’s done very well in her career and she’s pretty much my role model, i see myself being like her, maybe not as famous as her but being like her as in like as you know, she’s married, she’s got children, she’s singing, she looks good, she keeps it up so probably Madonna is the person i would say!

Me : If you were to collaborate with an artist in the future, who will it be? If its Asia then who will it be?
Tata Young : Justin Timberlake, he’s not bad. Jay Chou or Rain!

Me : You’ll be performing live in Perth in One Moment Showcase Music Festival in October, what could your fans in Perth expect from you?
Tata Young : A good show, a bad ass show like last night, maybe not the grand entrance but yes a good show

Me : What is first reaction when you know that you’re going to make a grand entrance on an airport runway for this 3rd English album?
Tata Young : My first impression was what i’m going to do next, that is very big, i’m screwed because i don’t know what i’m going to do next, but yea it sure was great and i had alot of fun and i think a lot of people did too.

The interview then ended with 2 questions from Janice.

Janice : What is your future plan?
Tata Young : My future plan at the moment is promoting this album and hopefully i’m going to tour in October, in Asia and then in Japan in November, then next year to Europe and coming back to Thailand having a big concert in March next year

Janice : Anything that you would like to say to the Malaysian fans?
Tata Young : First of all i would like to thank all my Malaysian fans for all the support, for always believing in me for who i am, so ya, please support the album Ready For Love.

So yea, what do you think? Hmm…

That was like one of the fastest 10 minutes for me i must say!

Shake hands, intro, interview, end.

And as i’ve mentioned before in the blog post of Tata Young’s Take You To The World Press Conference, i had a whole list of more qualified blogger compared to a small fry like me that should be attending this very event itself as well as interviewing Tata Young.

I’m really thankful for the things that comes my way. Thanks to the one above who’s watching over me every single moment. Of course, thanks to Sony Music Malaysia & Kel Li as well!

Pitt, Sonida and Me.

Last but not least, thanks to the people from Sony Music Thailand for a really warming and friendly stay in Thailand.

Melissa Stephanie & Michelle.

In my previous post, i’ve mentioned about 3 birthdays over the weekend. 2 on Saturday and 1 on Sunday. As awesome as it sound forking out extra money last weekend compared with the other weekends, the times spent with some of the bunch of friends in the different birthday sessions turned out to be quite an interesting one.

First, we, a bunch of Ex-Secondary schoolmates had a small little birthday celebration for Melissa on a beautiful evening at Desapark City. It was quite some time since we could get almost every single person to get out on an occasion like this and this time round, almost everyone turned up.

Mel, Kent, May, Me, Jeff, Mun, Ru, Andy, Steph

Almost everyone. *laughs* Melissa, hope you had a nice birthday with us this time!

Then, after celebrating Melissa’s birthday, i headed to Stephanie’s house where she had a birthday party in the night. Brought the girlfriend along and she went “sesated” straight away, i’m such a bad person. *laughs*

Thanks to Sue, i exchanged a few interesting stories and had a few Wow to myself during the night.

Kelvin, Zoe, Ren, Ahpek, Steph, Sue, SJ, Ben, Me, Her

Food was good, cake was sweet and the company was quite awesome. Happy 21st Steph!

This very one was planned pretty last minute and to my delight, most of the people were free on the date and time itself. Everything was well kept in secret from Michelle where she didn’t know about it at all. This was on the Sunday.

Venue for dinner was a bit out but then again i am glad that everyone managed to make this happen for Michelle. DGMB still rocks my socks!

A simple dinner fellowship session followed by New Zealand Natural ice cream session at Desapark City + the must have sing song blow cake procedure over there.

Hope you like it Mich. xD

The rest of the stories and such over the weekend, i shall leave it to the pictures in the albums below. Enjoy! =D

Weekend Awesomeness

Ringing the wedding bells and tying the knot of eternity together seems to be what’s happening over this very weekend for many couples out there. It was just hours ago that i heard cars honking, all white in color like Wow passing by in front of my house, today must be a good day! No?

Pink is the new Black.

Heard about lots of wedding that is happening around but not from the people i know personally. However there’ll be like 3 birthday sessions to attend. Crazy week full of weddings and birthdays that is.

Staying away from various events and such just spending quality times with close friends, a few different bunch of them, this is what i am looking forward this weekend. I’m already excited thinking about it.

Oh and did i mention that she’s around this weekend as well? Yesterday was one of the best day going out with her. With lots of walking involved. Awesome. =)

I’m pretty sure it’ll be an awesome weekend for me.
I’ll be satisfy even if its just a cup of water. 有情真的可以喝水饱. *laughs*

Enjoy the weekend peeps!
*oh the picture of the ugly BMW in pink above, the driver is a man. Gosh. VERY VERY UGLY. The BMW is an awesome car, but the color just made it so… U.G.L.Y.

review on Accident 意外

Its been quite some time since i last went out with the bunch of ex-college mates, like, one month ago? Anyways, we were at Pavilion KL yesterday to watch this newest Hong Kong movie with the title Accident 意外.

I was interested in this movie because i like both actors in this movie, Louis Koo 古天乐 Richie Ren 任贤齐. Agreed straight away without a second thought when my friend was asking around online.

Well, this is really one heck of a movie i must say, those walking out the cinema halls will be either cursing this movie that it’s so boring till they fell asleep or they’ll find it pretty fresh with an interesting storyline.

Imagine that the accident out there that were reported aren’t really an accident, those that causes casualties and such were carefully planned in detailed from the weather to the geographical fact to the people around with their routine.

Considering all the facts all together around the one main target to create a confusion, killing the target where at the end of the day, everyone else will think that it’s just an accident.

Said to be one of the best Hong Kong criminal related movies since 无间道 Infernal Affairs, i couldn’t agree more that the script, storyline were well written. If you’ve watched the movie you would think the same as i : “Wow, i didn’t know that this is erm possible!”

Not much dialogues with lots of things for the audience to ponder upon, the characters in this movie were all distinctive in their ways, attracting my attention to the very end of the movie.

Its quite a dark movie i must say. Hmm.

So yea, its either you get really interested loving this movie or have nothing much to say getting speechless watching it.

The ending was a bit sucky to me as i don’t really like it but the whole idea of the movie, the storyline and characters, they managed to catch my attention and i went Wow so i would say that its worth watching.

After all, who would imagine that learning how to fly kite in the rain is one of the step in killing someone? In fact, who would want to learn HOW TO FLY KITE in the rain at the first place!

*laughs*

My Rating for this movie is 7.5/10.

Joshua King for Manchester United?

All these while, i don’t consider myself as a hardcore Manchester United fan. Doing all the crazy stuffs and such showing how passionate you are towards the world’s famous football club.

I often question myself, how do you consider yourself as a hardcore soccer fan of a certain club?

-Collecting every single collectibles/merchandises of that club watching every single match played?
-Shouting and defending at whoever who insults and talk bad about the club you support?
-Go all the way as far as Rome booking hotels and air flights summing up to several thousands to watch a champions league final with your favourite club in it?

I know friends who are ManUtd fan as myself and are like how i described above at the same time. Being who i am at the moment, i can’t do the 1st and 3rd but i won’t be like the 2nd person described either, so i’m not a hardcore fan huh?

Lol. Anyways, yesterday night, i had this urge to go out and watch a live match of Manchester United. Playing against Wolverhampton in a Carling Cup match. I must say, its been quite some time since i last go out alone to a “Mamak” stall and watch a game of ManUtd playing all by myself, which i does frequently like, hmm 4 years ago?

The match ended with Manchester United winning 1-0. A pretty amusing and SLOW match i must say. As much as i enjoyed watching a Manchester United game all by myself during the night, i was shocked when i heard a player name Joshua was substituted in at 80 Minutes.

Yes mainly because of the same name we have, Joshua, i reacted a little bit more shock than usual.

Though just a 10 minutes display by him, i was pretty impressed. Heading home googling about him, i found out that he’s relatively new to Manchester United. Having been handed a first team number no.41 just like 3 days ago only.

NO WONDER I DON’T KNOW ABOUT THIS DUDE!!

To my delight, i’m not the only one who has good impression on this young player. It was his debut for the first team yesterday night and he did impress people out there, nearing to score a goal.

Norwegian striker Joshua King is a powerful centre-forward with what Under-18s coach Paul McGuinness describes as “raw potential”.

Norway?! Gawd i miss watching Ole Gunnar Solskjaer man!!! LOL.

A few more reads on the internet leads me to more exciting names such as Magnus Eikrem and Ravel Morrison. Quite an exciting youth team Manchester United have over there i must say, of course i’m excited mainly because that there’s a Manchester United first team player with the name Joshua but hey i’m equally excited with the young sides

Just see how Ravel Morrison kick balls here & here.

I know its too early to say that they will shine and become football legends for ManUtd but hey, who knows? *laughs*

I haven even talked about Macheda!!

Nuffnang Awards Wor!

Since Nuffnang took over the blogosphere creating one of the largest blogger community on the internet, successfully organizing a pajama’s party celebrating Nuffnang’s first birthday in Malaysia, I was actually expecting another Nuffnang Birthday Bash Party this year itself that was rumored if some of you heard about it before.

It was suppose to happen early this year somewhere in March in Singapore and the planned was delayed and for all i know, the plan was either threw aside or it was transformed into this very event.

Nuffnang Asia-Pacific Blog Awards. An event on a much larger scale.

Ever since the news about #nnawards broke out, there’s quite a number of opinions/thoughts exchanged which caused several debates under the table. Not widely blog about of course but the discussions/debates did happened in YumCha sessions, Msn Chatrooms and etc.

#01 Asia Pacific
The Asia-Pacific region generally includes:
Australia, Brunei, Cambodia, People’s Republic of China, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, Fiji, Indonesia, Japan, Kiribati, North Korea, South Korea, Laos, Malaysia, Marshall Islands, Federated States of Micronesia, Nauru, New Zealand, Palau, Papua New Guinea, Philippines, Samoa, Singapore, Solomon Islands, Thailand, Timor-Leste, Tonga, Tuvalu, Vanuatu, Vietnam,
United States Territories:
-American Samoa
-Guam
-Northern Mariana Islands

THAT ALONE is one helluva list of countries and i’m pretty sure that the list of blogs from the region would sum up to millions. Seriously i don’t know how can they differentiate that which blogs nominated were in that region or not.

Anyhow, a fast glance at the shortlisted list, i only see blogs from 3 main countries. Malaysia, Singapore & Australia. So well… =X

#02 How?
Nuffnang.com is putting the power in your hands to tell us who deserves to be nominated for these 12 categories.

So now the nomination have closed and the shortlisted blogs were announced. People started questioning how the blogs were chosen & even shortlisted.

The panel of judges have scored the nominees on the following criteria:

1. Presentation (10%) – Overall appeal, neatness, user-friendliness of the blog
2. Content (20%) – Readability, images and expression of the content
3. Relevance to Category (20%) – Professionalism and usefulness of information

Really according to the 3 points stated above?

IMHO, i think that some blogs should be there but they weren’t and here are 3 of them.
Dannychoo.com
This blog should be in Best Geek/Most Influential Blog. He is one blogger who got lots of first hand information and exclusives on anime/toys/figures where his blog includes lots of geeks related stuffs and he’s pretty influential among the geeks on the internet.
Cheeserland.com
This blog should be in Best Entertainment/Best Travel blog. She writes lots of advertorials but never fail to make them entertaining, in her own way that is and she have been to quite a lot of places from what i know providing some fun facts sharing her stories during her traveling times.
KarenCheng.com.au
This blog should be in Best Fashion/Best Parenting Blog/Most Influential Blog. She is one blogger who writes a lot about parenting & fashion, in fact, one of the earliest blogger i heard of. Earlier than the likes of Xiaxue and Kennysia for me personally and all i know, i have lots of female blogger friends who secretly stalked her. Talking about influential, some of these female friends even started blogging because of her.

Here are only 3 examples and i’m sure many of you out there have more blogs in your head that is more than qualified to be in the list. Much more.

and do you know that there’s like millions of blogs from Taiwan, China & Japan and none of them appeared in the list. Maybe the public didn’t bother much to nominate these blogs  or don’t even know about them. OR maybe these bloggers rejected to be shortlisted HA!

Okay, Happy or not, whether you like it, the shortlisted blogs have been announced and you just have that few blogs to support and vote, so how now?

#03 Winners?
Everyone is allow to vote and voting can be made multiple times with a 2 hours time span in between but we don’t know how are they tracking the votes. Hmm.

For your information, i’ve just voted on firefox and i can vote IMMEDIATELY AGAIN using google chrome. Of course, i don’t know that whether the counts will be updated to their database or not when i do so since they didn’t display the vote counts for each blog but hey, if vote counts aren’t display, that means there’s a possibility that they can set the numbers right?

I don’t mean that Nuffnang will do so la, just stating what i see.

Well, from the start when the nomination were in process resulting in this shortlisted results, I’m in no position to question whether the judges are qualified or should be there or not.

and at the end of the day, i’m just a nobody posting crap on this very little blog of mine.

There will definitely be more tweets like this and blog post like this but hey who cares? So well, lets all grab some pop corn, sit down and enjoy the show.

Its a sponsored project/awards/event, if you are on the same wave length as me. Why so serious?

May The Best Win!
