skipped a few events for ONE party

Last Saturday i woke up around 11am++ O.O
Rushed to college to meet my FYP supervisor along with my group members. I wouldn’t say that it was a fruitless meeting, its just a short and brief meeting on what to do + there’s a time where i’m the one who do the talking – about the 2nd theft incident in my industrial company.
Had a quick lunch and headed to KLPAC next.
Yes, i was in Urbanscapes @ KLPAC Thanks to Nuffnang.
I was there in the afternoon and i tell you that the weather is SOOOOOO DAMNNN HOTT!!!
I stayed there for just a while, saw a few familiar faces and i even bumped into a girl that was in the same camp as i during National Service a few years back.
*Ahhhhhh, that gives me the urge to organize a NS gathering!!
Anyway i left the scene earlier and of course i “ponteng” RandomActs project rob which happened later in the evening.
*I heard that project rob was fun. =)

Before that, on Friday… My friend invited me(and his other friends) on facebook to this Models Magazine 2nd Issue Official Launch @ Bar Club and i’ve rejected that invitation as well.
and so, Yea…
I partially skipped Urbanscapes2008, as well as RandomActs Rob and Models Magazine 2nd Issue Official Launch just for one thing…
The DGMB BBQ Party.
YES, the other events might be happening for many many people out there, but for us DGMB-ians, the BBQ Party RAWKS big time and its HAPPENING to us!!! The party practically lasted for 12 hours (do the counting yourself).
These are the times that you’ll really treasure, being with close friends, esp people like us who met randomly and formed a strong bond amongst ourselves. Thats one of the best thing that can happen in life and that happened to me… =)

While everyone is relaxing, spending their time with their beloved ones last weekend, Blizzard announced a news that brought smiles to the many millions diablo fans around the world.
Rumours have been around the internet for quite some years, some from the fans, some from the developers at Blizzard, and it all started becoming more OBVIOUS a few days ago.
It all started when this image appeared on Blizzard splash page. It was the first day.
The next day, they had this up.

The very first game of Diablo was one of the very first computer games i’ve played. Seriously, i played really very very little computer games all these years and Diablo have been one of my favourite game. I even replayed Diablo2 2 years ago with my diploma course mates through a “private server” and it was awesome still.
With this news coming out, you can imagine me having a big smile on my face hahaha. But again, we’ll have to wait for a period of time, maybe a few years time till the game is actually out. At least now, we know that it’ll be out. =)
There’ll be 5 job classes in Diablo3, the ones that have been announced were barbarian and witch doctor with more updates coming out in the future. Players are able to choose to play as male or female version of the 5 job classes as well. More announced information on Diablo3 here.

Nuffnang have always come out with stuffs for us Nuffnang-ers to “play” with, the last one was the Nuffnang Poll, now??

The happy-o-meter by Nuffnang just started today and its quite interesting i would say.
Just like the poll, it is a widget for you to put on your blog to show your readers your current mood and what are you currently doing.

this whole happy meter thing is something similar to twitter and plurk and since DiGi is behind this, i wonder that in the future, do they allow mobile phone users in Malaysia to update their current status to the happy meter widget through handphone and if Yes, is it limited to DiGi user only?
*for your info, i’m a maxis user and a LOYAL one… i have too much contacts on Maxis and i DO NOT want to change to Digi.
So, is this the start of something big from DiGi after the YELLOW MAN project??

This movie is based on Mark Millar‘s graphic novel series.
Its a story on a group of assassins Fraternity
the assassins were very well trained and they have been in existence for more than 1000 years
they are a bunch of people who came to this earth with something different than other normal human beings and that makes them the best assasins on earth.
Angelina Jolie in action!!

Apparently, the assassins of Fraternity get their task/assassination object from this “thing” above O.O
alright i shall not further on my text on this movie, go watch it yourself =)

Personally i think that the storyline is a bit too complicated FOR ME and the unexpected twist of storyline that happen on Wesley really made my eyes open wide!! I do enjoy the scenes with the cars in it hehehehehehe.
I still think that this movie is worth watching in the cinemas. =)

5 Malaysian Blog Links in a Hong Kong Magazine

Do you know that actually, for every event you attend for free as blogger, you are expected to blog about it?
Be it either a music event, media event, or even some bloggers party. For sure, there’ll be sponsors sponsoring all these events.
Say for instance, the Nuffnang Wild ‘Live’ party that happened just last weekend, it was sponsored by Maxis and Modestos.
How many bloggers attended that party? Minimum 120 bloggers….
but how many bloggers actually blogged about the event?? 20?? 30?? i have no idea.. maybe less….
Why did i state this out?
This is because i realize that actually, Malaysian bloggers are really lucky.
Malaysia blogosphere have became quite active and “happening” recently and many parties/sources are observing us bloggers especially after the general election in March early this year.
Thus, you can see that bloggers in Malaysia actually get free passes to attend more and more events in recent months. All these happen because people realize that blogs can be a medium to promote their products, their events, their services and etc. They want those bloggers to blog about it and promote it “indirectly”.
Just last month, i went to Nokia IAC Event @ Zouk with a bunch of blogger friends – DGMBians, some of us got the passes through Nuffnang, others through other source.
Anyway, after posting about the event itself, i was approached by an editor of a magazine in Hong Kong to use the pictures i’ve added in the post.
We exchanged a few words and i sent him a couple of pictures on the event itself and a few blog links. I didn’t think much on it that time. Since the magazine is coming up with an article on independant music and i can help, why not?
At last, the magazine came out and i downloaded the online pdf version of it. Well, you know.. i’m excited, i’ve submitted a few blogs links and a couple of pictures to them, so you could pretty predict how i look like when i downloaded the magazine.
i was going from page to page finding the “article” and i did read some other stuffs on the magazine as well. It appears that the content of the magazine is really interesting and i actually did read a couple of articles before i reached the page on the article of independant music.
I had a big smile on my face when i reached this page. The links i submitted was there, not only that, they even placed quite many pictures along with the article. In my mind, i was already jumping up and down. I didn’t know i would get so HAPPY being credited by other people.
=)
Alright, come back to the point above, bloggers blog about an event after attending it.
I do think that we bloggers have the responsibilities to do so. Of course, nobody order us and give us command that WE MUST BLOG ABOUT IT, the sponsors didnt ask us to do so, but you need to know the reason behind on why you get free passes/tickets.
You may think so :- “I AM A BLOGGER, I DO WHAT I LIKE AND I BLOG WHAT I WANT TO BLOG” or “AIYA, THERE’ll BE OTHER BLOGGERS BLOGGING ABOUT IT!!“
Yes, no one can force you to do what you don’t want to do, but bare in mind…
THERE IS NO FREE LUNCH IN THIS WORLD!
if every single blogger have that mindset in them, they don’t blog about the events/movies they go for free, then whats the point of them(the sponsors) giving free passes?
Then sooner or later, we bloggers in Malaysia won’t get chance to go to events and movies for free already.
There might still be, but those bloggers will be BIG SHOT/BIG TIME bloggers who probably have 1k visitors per day going into their blogs. NOT other bloggers.
If you think that there’ll be other bloggers who will blog about it, cut that off your mind now! Sponsors or those who send out invites will need all the credits, testimonial, opinion, thoughts and etc they can get from us bloggers. Be it negative or positive, they’ll still need it.
I have no idea how much this post will make u think about stuffs on blogging, but i do hope that this post can help you understand the mindset of the sponsors and do something in return if you really get to go to events/movies for free as a blogger in the future.
About the Charged Magazine in Hong Kong, i have not much details about it and i’m still new to it but it is an interesting magazine to me. Will download the next issue when it comes out.
You might find it interesting as well, after all its free, so no harm downloading it. =)

On that day itself, i was with my friends before we head to the party, we reached Hartamas quite early and gathered at Spicy - a mamak place.
If i’m not mistaken, we stayed there for quite long +_+
Headed to Modestos around 6.40pm when the crowd is not so big yet.
I would say that the entrance was well decorated, not too complicated nor too simple. Just nice.
Upon reaching, we were welcomed by the Nuffies over there. Aren’t they gorgeous?

A POLICE BANG YOUR CAR, ITS YOUR FAULT!!

Whether you want to admit it or not, we all Malaysians know that in Malaysia, police force is in control and they have all the rights to “do anything they want to do” which basicly giving them the GOD status in this country.
Although this post was posted 2 days ago by my friend, i still feel like posting about it. Her case can be summarized in a sentence.
A POLICE BANG YOUR CAR, ITS YOUR FAULT AND YOU WILL GET A SUMMON FOR IT!!

when we reach there.. we saw the husband and wife there.they reported the incident before us and were chatting with the staffs there. Upon entering, i already felt something wrong because both husband and wife was sitting outside the room and talking with another officer and i heard the officer say “dont worry.. we will settle this.. blablabla”
so… i went in the room, sit in front of SGT RASIDI and he gave me this smirk on the face. and then i handed my report to him and then he said …
“Sebab dia datang dulu, i akan tengok dari apa yang saya dah dengar. Dalam kes ini, dia pengadu no 1, you no 2.”
“sekarang you tunjuk kat saya apa yang jadi”. and then he handed two toy cars for me. I showed him what happened exactly with my colleague sitting beside me.
Then without even thinking or anything, he said.
“Sekarang dari apa yang i dah dengar, i akan bagi you saman. Kalau you tak puas hati, you boleh bawak kes ini pergi makamah”

I believe that there’re many more Malaysians who have experienced this before but most of them choose not to voice out and stayed away from it.
So now, one blogger experienced it, blogged about it “the nice way”
(believe me, there’re bloggers who will blog it the fugly way full of foul languages in his/her post)
